Family group with 3 teenagers in one room, Jackson was very accommodating with extra real bed (not fold out). We had place to our self, restaurant quality breakfast. We enjoyed reading the hand written letters from the mine mangers from the 50's. We would stay again and recommend to our friends great getaway from Darwin.

Jackson the owner/chef met me as I hopped out of the carand offered to carry my bags up. I had the place to myself for the night and it was spacious with genuine period furniture, especially the bathroom fittings. When I was asked what time I wanted breakfast the next day I was a bit taken aback. But when I... More

Such a gorgeous historic homestead, sensitively restored to its former glory, with a few modern additions, and tastefully furnished. We stayed two nights, and had the place to ourselves, which was rather lovely, being able to utilise the kitchen both evenings to create a simple evening meal, and dine enjoying a glass or two of wine, cooled by the breeze... We travelled as a family group with a young baby. We took the family room option which gave us 2 big air-conditioned bedrooms and a shared bathroom just for us. Excellent value for money! The house has a wonderful 1950`s atmosphere with polished wooden floors and the original kitchen, bathrooms and even some furniture still in use: a living piece... More

Comfortable, very clean, gorgeous breakfast, reliable and complimentary wifi. Wonderful historic information, photos etc around. Highly recommended. There is even a fridge you can use and a kettle for making tea and coffee in the upstairs kitchen. Excellent place

This is a great B&B. We stayed for two nights. The house is the old Managers Home from the Rum Jungle mine and has many photos and articles along with letters to and from the Mine Manager so plenty of history. The house has two "ends" each with its own bathroom and the living and kitchen in between so you... More

When we arrive at the B&B, my hubby was about to blow at me for putting him up in such a run down place. I comfort him & say we will pay the penalty and drive back to Darwin if its really bad. Then we were asked to go upstairs, what a present surprise! Totally unexpected, very tastefully decorated with... More

We came from kakadu and were heading towards Litchfield : this was a great place to stay the night. Very friendly host, super cooked breakfast and lots of historical photos and letters telling the story of the Rum Jungle mine.

Excellent value for money in comparison to everywhere else we stayed. We stayed in 5 other Darwin/Kakadu hotels and this was by far the best value for money, the nicest and the most relaxing. It cost $320 for two nights for two of us including cooked breakfast, i.e. $160 per nite, which makes it at least $100 less than some... More

I discovered this B&B on Tripadvisor, booking the triple room on-line for myself & teenage daughters. It was ideally suited to our needs after a big day in Litchfield NP. The house itself was spacious and cool, with the balmy breeze through the louvred windows. The triple room featured an extremely comfortable king sized bed plus single, tv, hanging space... More
