unlike most of the recent views I was actually very pleased with the service and absolutely loved the rooms. As knowing the pressure of being a cleaner from experience I know all the hard work that goes into having a nice clean room and appreciate the time and effort of those who do this job as it is a very... Stopped for one night whilst driving up the coast. The Seahorse Inn is easy to find when driving north on the Princes Hwy as well signed. Less easy to find if travelling South. Found the reception desk unstaffed so went to the bar. The bar maid dealt with check in and I got a small double with an amazing balcony... More

The hotel is a fine building located in a sensational location with superb views and gorgeous grounds. I spoke to the gardener; congratulating him on what a great job he's doing. But so many other opportunities are going begging. The front of house reception was disinterested (and another guest made exactly the same comment.) Room cleaning included putting a "sanitized"... Unique property but not properly maintained[eg collection of dead flies next to the window in the dining room which were not removed during our stay] and some staff surly and unhelpful. . Despite having their own vegie garden ,strawberries left to go rotten and available produce grown in the garden were obviously not used. When questioned about strawberries told were... More

We walked around the 1840s Seahorse Inn when it was a construction site nine years ago. Set in lovely grounds looking out onto Twofold Bay, the original inn has been sympathetically extended to include a second floor, bistro at one end and dining room at the other. The public areas - cocktail lounge, bar, dining room and bistro and outdoor... More

Let me start by saying this is a wonderful location for a romantic weekend away. There is little bad one can say about it USUALLY, the service, the location and the wonderful old world charm is second to none. However on our most recent stay (July) there were a few issues with the state of our room & bathroom. It... More

This is a beautiful hotel in a stunningly beautiful location. It has views across Twofold Bay to the ocean, with Eden on the other side of the bay. It is very quiet (at this time of year anyway), as the hotel only has 10 rooms and is away from the town. The common areas: the bar, lounge, dining areas, outside... More

First off, the Seahorse Inn has the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a hotel--and my aunt and wife agreed about this. As for the property, it's gorgeous--situated on a nice beach with terrific views. The rooms were very, very clean and looked great. So why the 3 stars? Well, it could have been a bad day and... This was a lovely hotel with all of the thinks which make a comfortable stay. We enjoyed meals which were prepared with love and care. The view was spectacular and the beach was clean and tidy. We enjoyed our stay with the only complaint being a leaking shower and the phone which didn't connect to the reception. Breakfast included a... More
