My mum booked a week here for herself (staying in 'Putsborough' twin room), and myself and my son (staying in 'Baggy Point') twin/double room). I are limited mobility and walk with crutches. My son has a learning disability and has serious issues with anxiety and change. We were made so welcome. We arrived very late by prior arrangement but we're... More

Myself daughter and grandson stayed here for a week. Spotlessly clean, lovely breakfasts and David and Pippa are excellent hosts. My daughter and grandson were so comfortable in their ground floor room, my daughter and grandson both have a disability and my grandson suffers from anxiety at change or new surroundings but he was at ease here as soon as... My stay at the Old Bakery B & B was wonderful. Pippa and David were so helpful with an extensive knowledge of the local and surrounding areas for walking paths and places of interest. I stayed in the Putsborough suite which was very comfortable, clean and had a lovely view over the garden. Delicious breakfasts. Would highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at The Old Bakery and would highly recommend it to anyone. The room was perfect and had a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast was also very delicious and the eggs were from David and Pippa's own chickens.

A comfortable and clean, no frills B and B. The use of the kitchenette is a bonus. The check in time is quite late so bear this in mind when planning your arrival. The beds are comfortable and the shower good however I found that having only two towels was insufficient, especially when they were still wet in the evening... More

Thank you for your positive review of The Old Bakery. We have noted your "no frills" description and whilst we do not consider ourselves to be luxurious, would just point out that all rooms come with a kettle and wide range of complementary drinks (Fair Trade tea and coffee, Earl Grey tea, fruit teas, hot chocolate), plus flat screen TV's... We were lucky enough to book a last minute two nights stay here due to a cancellation and we were not disappointed. From the first phone call to make our booking, to our arrival (which was late in the evening due to extremely bad traffic) David & Pippa made us feel welcome in their home and couldn't do enough for... I spent 5 days at the old Bakery whilst on a surfing trip with my son. Pippa and David are very welcoming and I could not recommend this place more highly. From the home made banana cake and tea on arrival to the home made muesli, home made bread and fresh eggs... superb It is a perfect spot, in a... More

Feeling welcome, looked after and in immaculate accommodation made our brief trip to North Devon work perfectly. The DVD collection, guest lounge, sunshine on the terrace, great breakfast and brilliant local pubs for evening dining made this a wonderful get away. Above all though are your lovely hosts who offer the warmest of welcomes.
