The facilities are superb - from the rooms through the spa, lounges and restaurants. It is fairly new, so everything is still in pristine condition. The cheaper rooms look into the large inner courtyards, but this makes them peaceful albeit without a view. We spent more time in the gardens, at the pool/spa, and exploring the astonishingly beautiful surrounding countryside.... more

This is a beautiful hotel with full-service spa: large indoor pool, saunas etc. The rooms are very nice. The food is outstanding!!!! Awesome breakfast buffet. Lots of different and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas, terraces, gardens etc. Although it is a large hotel, it is broken up into smaller areas quite nicely and so has a very intimate feel.... more

I choose to spend the last two nights of a longer vacation in this 5 star hotel as a "gift" to myself. The hotel is nice, rooms great and staff very friendly. But somehow it is not 5 star style (at least not compared to what I have experienced in other countries). My room was hot, and the aircon (?)... more

Returned late yesterday from a long weekend stay, Thursday to Monday, in Bad Schandau. The hotel is located some twenty kilometers from the motorway exit Pirna, easy to reach by car. We had a friendly welcome at the reception, no problem to check three rooms till we accepted the one we especially liked. Only some ten minutes till the room... more
