Stayed here in the family suite and was not disappointed. The hostel has all that you could need for a good stay. The staff was helpful, there is a travel agency upstairs to help get more train tickets, etc. TV and wifi were great. This hotel is on the 15th floor of an apartment building, which was not clear to... More

We stayed on our way to Lhasa for 2 days. It was a nice stay. The hostel is not close to the train station, about 40 mins away, that is because the city itself is strip. It is not far from the city centre. The staff are very helpful and gave very good advise, for restaurants and attractions to go.... More

We started and finished here our tour in Amdo. Rooms were nice and clean and really quiet to be an hostel. Location is good. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast (no included in the price) was good. We were happy to be there and not in one Chinese hotel.

I stayed at the Lete during a school trip to Qing Hai province, and it was one of the more pleasant stays during the trip. The students were in dormitory rooms (many rooms had lockers), while I was lucky to have a private bath. The hostel is on the 15th floor, and there are some stairs to negotiate after the... More

Stayed there for a couple of nights before taking the train from Xining to Lhasa. Good atmosphere and for Chinese standards nice, modern room, clean enough and all facilities close by (laundry, supermarket). Takes you about 20 minutes to walk to the center. Comunity kitchen good do for a better cleaning job though. Would go back again!

I've stayed here twice--most recently in December (in the room pictured in the photo). The wifi reception in the room was excellent. A heater helped warm the room a little but so far I've encountered while traveling in China no Chinese-made space heaters that do a really good job of warming up a cold room. On the other hand, this... More

I was a bit worried about this place because of the bathroom reviews but it was fine.  It was quiet when we were there but our room was clean and bright and generally warm. The view of the city is really cool.  There were a few common areas all of which were nice plus they had a cafe and excellent... More

We found Lete to be a very average hostel - but is has potential to be so much better! Rooms and showers are not particularly clean, but acceptable for the price. There's plenty of social space (bar, TV room etc.) but not much interest from the staff in making them enjoyable to use. Big drawback for us was the midnight... More

This youth hostel is fine but nothing particularly special. The set-up is a little odd - on the 16th floor of a residential tower block - but the location is good, with the Great Mosque and Muslim quarter within walking distance and only a couple of blocks from some nice cafes, restaurants and bars (definitely second the recommendation to hit... Besides the somewhat dirty bathrooms, this is an excellent hostel. It's like a maze with all the nedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms but there's always a place you can relax. There is a very nice skyline at night. The staff is friendly, though English is limited. If you want western food, try the bacon pizza. This is the besy pizza... More
