My hubby and I stayed overnight at this hotel after arriving from Hong Kong on 7/3/14 to join a tour visiting the Hunan national park the following morning. Hotel foyer is massive to cater for big tour groups but room is far from the front desk so not easy if you’ve a few pieces of luggage. We returned to stay... More

Stayed in Huatian Hotel for the 2nd time recently. The service levels are spectacular - you get escorted wherever you go. The restaurants were as good as 10 years ago and the public areas were all beautifully kept and looking pretty for Christmas. The Food Street restaurant is a particular delight and is also popular with local families as it... More

The building and rooms "look OK" but I would NOT recommend you to choose this place. I have stayed here more than 10 years ago but nothing has changed (except their inflated room charge) (1) Facilities are way too old. (2) It took the receptionists 5 seconds to say "left side" in English after taking 10 minutes for check-in procedure.... More

For business travelers lucky enough to make the trek to Zhuzhou, the Huatian is your place to set up shop. Although a bit dated and unavoidably smoky, it has everything you need: clean rooms, business center, bar, restaurant, KTV. OK, maybe you don't really need the KTV but it's a good diversion if you stay more than a few nights.

The Huatian Hotel has nice rooms and a nice resepten area. The service provided does not match the looks of the hotel and is poor compared to other Chinese hotels we have stayed in. In the room there are extra charges for everything, even the soap bar in the bathroom. Unfortunately there has not been any improvement during the last... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel was pretty basic but clean. Wireless internet would be nice. The staff were pretty reasonable. I did ask for a non-smoking room and I ended up getting one that smelled a bit smokey. At the time they were renovating the floor under mine - work would commence at 8AM and cease at 10PM... More

I think it is the best hotel I have ever visit. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, three kinds of kitchen at the restaurant (Chinese, Japanese and European). Stuff can understand you in english... there is some places for leasure, like tennis, swimming pool or gym.

The rooms are very nice, perfectly clean. Staff is friendly and most speak some English. Breakfast is good, the Western restaurant is also very good. The fitness center is a light on resistance training equipment, but if you want to play badminton or tennis, there are indoor courts.

Stayed here for 8 days in March and would highly recommend. Nice, clean rooms. Modern facilities and cable, ethenet in rooms. Wifi in lobby was spotty. Great location and the food in the upstairs restaurant was outstanding. I very much enjoyed this hotel. They do not take AMEX travellers checks, however. Bank of China is right next door and was...
