I stayed in the New Century Grand Hotel Kaifeng for 2 days in March. It was a low season for tourism in Kaifeng, and the hotel was not fully occupied. Nevertheless, my stay there was very pleasant. The staff were nice and helpful. The hotel itself and the hotel rooms are big and spacious. I was particularly impressed by the... More

Came here with the China work team for a conference. Location was great, close enough to the city centre and "attractions" but just off the road so my room was very quiet. Hotel itself was clean, carpets, linen, towels etc and well maintained. Bed was firm but good (for China). Western breakfast restaurant was OK, reasonable buffet selection and good... More

This is a very beautiful hotel overlooking a lake. Very scenic. In rural China it is very difficult to get a nonsmoking room. If you are a non smoker be prepared to have a lot of smokers around you. This is very common in rural China. Thankfully between our guide and friends who are fluent in Mandarin we were traveling... More

I was booked into the New Century Grand Hotel so that I could attend a conference in Kaifeng. I stayed here 4 years ago and was extremely impressed. The food was nice, the rooms exquisite and the service of the highest standard. This time I was also impressed with the hotel, food, service etc... The staff are always extremely polite... More

The hotel is nice but the smoking is ridiculous. Last year I asked for a non smoking room. They gave me a room on a smoking floor that has been used by smokers, but if I was not smoking in the room then it was a nonsmoking room. This year I asked for a nonsmoking room on a nonsmoking floor.... More

The location of the hotel is great and very close to some of the major attractions in Kaifeng, Henan. This hotel was recommended by our friends/clients and apparently, there was only 2 nice hotels in Kaifeng and this is one of them. We all had an high expectation for this place but like any other places around China, this is... More

This was a great hotel in a Kaifeng, lovely big rooms and we had a massive balcony overlooking the lake. Great to have a swimming pool too, oh and air con as it was 40 degrees. Breakfast was both local and western so food for all. We are staying there again this year. This was the nicest hotel we stayed... More

This is possibly the only hotel worth staying at in this town. Arriving at Kaifeng on the fast train from Nanjing, presented a tremendous contrast starting with the railway station. Getting off the train, you can wheel your luggage as far as the stairs leading to the under ground, thereafter expect to carry your stuff until the exit, where you'll... More

according to my local friend, stayed here for one night.Actually the hotel was high level, the food, service and so on,no doubt that it is a cozy place for trip.Taking the cab is the better way to look around this city, reasonable prize and no too bad traffic condition.BTW,the Henan univercity,in the north of hotel, really worthy to see.

This is one of perhaps two 5-star hotels in this small town and lives up to its rating. Set away from the center of Kaifeng, it is a brief taxi ride to the city gate and sits on a major bus line. I traveled with my parents who are in the 80's. They had a room on the 7th floor... More
