Was there for over nine days, and had every need met. Professional staff, great service. Prompt laundry service, and room was always taken care of in timely manner. Very close to attractions, and market across the street.

I was booked into this hotel as part of a tour I was on. We arrived very early and very tired after an overnight train journey. We were put in a conference room while we waited for our rooms to be 'cleaned'. My room was 4301, there was no lift so I had to lug my case up several flghts... More

Absolutely run-down and disgusting. Cockroaches everywhere. I came home one night to find several on my bed. The carpet looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in years (possibly ever). Staff were incredibly lazy and rude. The 'breakfast' was the worst food I had in China. Yes it is cheap, but you can find somewhere nicer to stay for not much... More

Looks impressive from the outside with its temple facade, but more like a prison block on the inside, although we did sit in an impressive conference room whilst we waited for our rooms to be prepared. At breakfast, our group of Westerners got shunted into a room away from everyone else, before we collected our metal trays to collect our... More

I found this hotel to be very reasonably priced and the staff was quite friendly. It is near a famous temple and surrounded by small shops and restaurants. As Lonely Planet notes, Kaifeng is a city that has resisted modernization and reminds the traveler what China used to look like. For those just staying a day or two, I recommend... More

Location is good but this is the only hotel I stayed in in China at this price level without internet. The breakfast included in the price was just ok with little to appeal to Western breakfast tastes. My room had some insect problems, also unusual in China.

I booked my room on www.Ctrip.com and got a good price of 170 rmb per night. I spent 10 days at the hotel while visiting my girlfriends' family and there is much to like. I stayed in the "western rooms" and was pleased with the price for a queen size bed room with a western style commode and a low-medium-high... More

When in China, after staying in modern box-like hotels, it is a pleasant change to stay in a hotel built in the old style. A disadvantage of that style was no elevators, but only 3 levels. Good location, decent Chinese breakfast.

We booked this hotel via CTrip.com (excellent Chinese online agency) and it was very well priced – about 300RMB per night. For an extra 30RMB, we got their “Executive Suite” which raised some expectations but overall contributed to the disappointment of this property. The location of this hotel is excellent, right beside the famous night market (really, the only reason... More
