We stayed a couple of nights here whilst on a cycling holiday. Sadly it was winter time so could not make use of the outside pool although we did sit out in the late afternoon sun with a few beers. Breakfast was a let down as not much choice and certainly not geared for a day on the bike. The... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a large group. We had no complaints about the food, it was OK. The grounds were quite lovely with a well positioned swimming pool equipped with ample deck chairs and space. What we did find unacceptable was the quality of our twin room. The bathroom had paint falling off the ceiling... More

We arrived on bikes into the formal grounds of cacti, agave, olive and eucalyptus. The bedrooms were in the courtyard area at the bottom of the grounds, so it was a little walk to the main building where the bar, restaurant and lounge are located. The wifi is only available in this main area. The rooms off the courtyard were... More

We stopped here for 2 nights during a cycling group trip of Morocco. The rooms varied substantially but all were lovely. The owners, manager and all the staff were welcoming and gracious. Our dinners and breakfasts were delicious too. The property is beautiful and has a pool. The decorations are Art Deco which adds additional charm, as do the unique... More

We only tested the restaurant and the gardens. The food was acceptable, French but nothing special. The gardens were too sophisticated according to my taste, with little islands all over the place. The sitting areas were ok but without charm. The restaurant is pricy. The hostess knows her business.

This hotel is rather worn and has obviously seen better days. The rooms were pleasantly situated in the grounds and comfortable, although a little run down. It was pleasant having a pool and an area around it to relax after a day walking in the mountains. Our tour group of seven stayed for two nights and were the only guests... More

Rustic rooms built as individual units but everything worked and very clean. Warm welcome from the owner who dealt quickly with ant queries. Built in a pleasant area in the middle of nowhere - very peaceful. Lunch and Dinner very good local food ( far too much in quantity), breakfast very limited in choice and amount.

After staying in so many hotels that might be in any country, it was a great treat to visit La Bergerie, where I had no doubt that I was in a foreign country. It is a single story building and the accommodation is in converted buildings in the grounds: my room was one of six arranged around a courtyard of... More

Stayed end of May 2012. Was hot at this time. A really peaceful and relaxing hotel . Lovely pool area. Bedding was crisp and spotless and the rooms were very clean, no air con but the ceiling fans worked well, although a little noisy. The rooms could do with a little bit of a makeover but I think "shabby chic"... More

We stayed at La Bergerie for 4 nights in the second week of June 2012 (last week), yes much of what has been said by previous reviews is true in some context but hey, the poor owner's husband died about 2 weeks ago and she has now come back to run the place directly after the local Management concept (probably...
