We just left yesterday and I wanted to review our stay while everything was still fresh in my mind. Overall, this was a lovely and well kept campground. The amenities were fabulous and frankly, better than expected. However, I did notice that many previous guest's reviews had repeatedly stated the same problems and KOA management doesn't seem to acknowledge them.... More

We stayed at this KOA last month and absolutely fell in love with the environment. We only stayed for a couple of nights and are already making reservations for next year. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I agree with other comments that they need some sort of supervision at the pool area. We could not even sit in... More

Please do you research when looking for a place to park your travel trailers, fifth wheels and big RVs. Keep in mind we stayed in this campground back in June of 2010. A few hurricanes have gone through since then, but from looking at their website, the trailer sites look very much the same. The RV sites are very close... More

Just stayed 9 nights at the Cape Hatteras KOA. We absolutely loved the location. Being in a campground right on the ocean is simply beautiful. The sunsets on the Sound were stunning. The campground itself was not fantastic. If you plan on camping there it seems as though the Oceanfront spots or the premium spots with the pad are the... More

We stayed at the Cape Hatteras KOA for 5 days at the end of July and loved it. At first sight it was a bit odd to us always camping in more wooded areas but once we got used to the "parking Lot" feel with no trees, it was fine. We had an end site which backed up to a... More

Absolutely the best KOA! Our family stayed in a deluxe cabin which included linens. Cabin was clean and equipped with the basic kitchen items. Staff was friendly and best of all it was located right at the beach! Our kids enjoyed the big pool which was very clean. Well worth the drive for a beautiful sunrise on the Atlantic Ocean... More

If you are a camper, try to get a site away from the cabins if possible. Sites are small and over priced, we stayed here before the renovations, but went to check it out this year now that they changed it up, but they put even more cabins in. Last time we there we were directly across from a cabin... More

We recently stayed at the koa with our Motor Home. we had made reservations months ago. They brought us to a terrible sit all gravel with rut and weeds near the tenting crowd with unending barking dogs. Two pit bulls in a tent unattended. Six others had also complained. They moved us to supposedly the only available spot. The dog... More

The location of this KOA is awesome. Literally on the beach. Clean Facilities. Our friends stayed in the suites (don't own a RV) beautiful but pricey. My biggest gripes were that the wifi anywhere but the main building would see good signal but never go to WWW. Staff claimed it is Internet Providers fault but I disagree or they wouldn't... More

Staying here for our Outer Banks vacation set the tone for our week. The location is great - more or less in the middle of OBX. We had site 320, a pull-thru site. Not very big, but easy to get into. The sites with the covered picnic tables and concrete pads looked very nice. The bathhouses are awesome, a complete... More
