I loved this place, but I'm into the offbeat and interesting. I've traveled a lot on a budgey and have done a lot of adventurous things in my life, so I've learned to be flexible. I'm a 65 year old grandmother who camps by herself. The $25.00 a night (I have a little teardrop) pricetag was extremely helpful. I went... More

Upon arrival I found the facility to stand up to the reviews. Staff was very polite and helpful. There are a handful of campers that stay there frequently and there was a very welcoming feel from everyone. The campground is like sleeping in your families back yard on the sound! There are no game rooms or swimming pools. It is... More

Let me start by saying that I was thrilled when I found this campground. Never having visited the Outer Banks before, I wanted my first experience to be fun and memborable. SO, when I saw the reviews of Rodanthe Watersports and Campground, I was encouraged that I had found a great spot. I called to make reservations and verified that... More

I found the campground on this site so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. It is small and further from the beach than I expected; but overall it fit my needs perfectly. The site was clean and since I booked well in advance, I was able to nab a premium space away from the dumpster and... More

I am seriously thinking of staying here again with my family, the next time we go to the Outer Banks. You can get $5 off coupons if you mention that you saw their ad somewhere, like the magnet on the cash register at the coffee-house across the street, for example. At most campsites on the islands you cannot reserve, but... More

We were thrilled to see our beautiful waterfront location at the campsite. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a very compact campground, and the sites do have water and electricity if you need it. We have a sturdy 6 man tent, but never camped this close to open water. We didn't sleep much on the first night, due to... More

We took our kids here to rent wave runners while staying in Nags Head. It was a bit of a drive but well worth it. Very reasonably priced and the owner is extremely friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place. Will return here next year!

First off, I spent about a solid month or so looking for a bad review on this place and all I found was that it was small and there is a very small graveyard next to two sites. When we pulled in, first impression was that I confirmed that it was small but it had a comfortable environment to it.... More

This sound-side campground has about 30 sites, which can accommodate tents, trailers and small motorhomes. They also rent watersports stuff (at a discount to campers), including kiteboards, jet skis, sailboats, surfboards and beach equipment. Some of the sites directly face the sound; others are set back from the water or border a small cemetery (part of the neighboring property). An... More

OK that's two words...but you get what I mean... You need good tent pegs as the wind off the Pamlico sound is very strong and teh tent takes a beating... The GOOD - Clean Bathrooms The BAD - Very Cramped...felt like we were camping with next doors campers and we could here everyting they said The UGLY - They have... More
