We've stayed at the Tapoco Lodge on several occasions over the years. It's always been nice, it's a historic and beautiful place we always enjoy dining overlooking the stream, the food and service is excellent and the people are super nice. The Lodge and surrounding grounds are always spotlessly clean We almost always stay at the Lodge. Cell phones don't... More

Rarely do you find a place that exceeds your hopes on a first time visit. Tapoco Lodge, its staff, and grounds soared above all our past travel experiences with its beautiful rooms and retro baths, awesome mountain surroundings and cascading river, waterfall hiking trail, quanset hut movie theater, nightly campfires, and creamy grits for breakfast. You will love the genuine... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a roadtrip. We stayed here specifically so we could get up early and drive the Tail of the Dragon, we couldn't have chosen a better location to get a headstart on the weekend traffic. We had a room in the main lodge, both the bedroom and bathroom were very large and... More

The Tapoco Lodge is a little out of the way but well worth the trip. It sits on a lovely stream and the grounds are beautifully manicured. We enjoyed the casual dining over looking the stream and the on property hiking trails. The lodge has great history and the staff made you feel special. The room was very clean and... More

My husband and I stayed at the Historic Tapoco Lodge in Robbinsville over a long weekend in late July. It was our first stay here. The lodge itself was very charming, though the rooms were slightly small, and it was about 15 miles from the nearest town. But if you're looking for city amenities this is not the area for... More

I recently needed an "unplugged" weekend and was referred to the Tapoco Lodge near Robbinsville, NC. In fact, the Lodge is 15 miles north of Robbinsville in the beautiful western North Carolina mountains. Surrounded by elevations up to 3000 feet and more the historic Tapoco Lodge (built in 1930) is nestled into the hillside next to a gushing stream of... More

Historic Tapoco Lodge was just what we were looking for to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. A quiet out of the way lodge that was not too far from hiking trails and historic locations. Our room was very clean and keeping with the time period, although the bathroom was updated. The staff at the inn was wonderful and very accommodating.... More

Although this lodge is within distance to the famous "Tail of the Dragon" motorcycle run, this place is not just for weary bikers or nature enthusiasts. It is a beautiful rustic lodge tucked among the trees and along some amazing whitewater Rapids. In fact you can order some drinks and a stone baked pizza and sit outside and let the... More
