I travel to Raleigh 4 days a week from Atlanta and have stayed at ALOT of hotels. This hotel was a plesant suprise. I booked my room based on rate alone, and was doubting my decision after reading some of the reviews. That said, I was pleasantly suprised upon my , the hotel appears to have been recently updated. Phew! I haver other things to worry about! more

The hotel only recently March 2009 compleletly finished the renovation. We have new carpeting, wallpaper,tile bathroom flooring, sinks, granite marble tops, artwork, lighting and all new bedding. The hotel has also upgraded the internet service featuring the fastest complimentary wireless service available. Our customer satisfaction rating is at it's peak, guests are delighted with the changes.
Quite nervous to stay here after reading some of the reviews, but being a Priority Reward member w/ holiday Inn, wanted to make the deal work. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Rooms are aweful, bad smelling. Most of the things you will find broken.My booking was thru my job agency and it was for 2 weeks. We got the hotel for $52 on priceline ($67 when you add tax and fees). It was in the 3 star category for the Crabtree area. It was a very conveinant location. Rooms were big and clean. Old hotel that is badly in need of a major overhaul. The carpet always felt damp and the musty smell permeating throughout kept me wondering if it really is worth the $60 or so I paid for the room. This hotel is old. Built in the early 70's and looks like it probably did back then. I was on the 12th floor which is the executive floor. It looks like the roof has been leaking very badly.
