Clarion Hotel in Raleigh, NC worked out great! I stayed there for 3 nights with my mom and sister, and though we weren't there alot (we were sight-seeing), when we were there it was enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is good, but nothing to brag about. But the view is spectacular! Even if you don't eat at the Top of the... more

Spent one night at the Clarion after a company function. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. Parking was free. There is a restaurant/bar upstairs that serves breakfast and brunch. more

My wife and I stayed at the Clarion over the Columbus Day weekend ($99 per night with the AAA discount). Check in was acceptable. The indoor parking was free. The hotel staff was friendly, but neither quick nor knowledgeable about the local area. The 17th floor hotel room had a very nice view with 2 queen beds. Their free internet... more

My son and I stayed here for a trip to visit NC State. The hotel is located midway between downtown and State. Our room had a wonderful view of the city. The lobby was beautiful and is showing no wear or tear like other reviews said. The breakfast was very good and everyone was nice. Will stay again more

Stayed at the Clarion for three nights. We were with a group so we could not move to another hotel. The hotel is showing much wear - the lobby furniture was dirty, the carpets filthy and greasy throughout. Our room had a strange odor like sewer gas. The bathroom, as other reviews state, was so small you cannot close the... more

We stayed at the Clarion State Capital hotel because it was 1 of 2 properties selected by the wedding party for its proximity to the church and reception site. The ONLY good thing about this hotel was the fact that it was within walking distance of where we needed to go. The worst part was the SERVICE, or the lack... more

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and enjoyed it. The hotel has a great location, close to everything and our room had a spectacular view of the city (as requested). Staff at the front desk provided excellent service with a map of the area and a list, with detailed directions, of restaurants nearby. Our room was kept very clean... more

When deciding to go to Raleigh for a vacation, I narrowed down my choices for hotels down to a few, and then let my 2 small children decide for me. They chose the "tall hotel". I thought at the time this would be a good choice due to the close proximety to most of the downtown attractions (It is literally... more

While this hotel is conveniently located, clean, and has free (unsecured) parking, the hotel itself is pretty average. I am not sure how they are commanding $100+ a night on the weekends when the legislature is not in session. The pool was drained (and looked like it had been for some time). Internet is only available wirelessly in the bar... more
