We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was so welcoming from the working fireplace to the lovely swing on the private porch. The neighborhood is very friendly and accessible to a bus route for all of downtown Raleigh. Don't think you could ask for more:) more

Very well maintained, clean and friendl bed and breakfast. Very good location for any metro Raleigh or Wake county activity. The owners work very hard to make sure your visit is enjoyable. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere and the absolutely delicious breakfasts. I felt so pampered eating breakfast in the elegant dining room. I also took advantage of the selection of DVD movies. The coconut chocolate chip cookies that were always available were to die for! My room was beautifully decorated, as was the living room. more

We only spent one night at the Oakwood Inn but it was charming. The Inn is in a great historic neighbor within easy walking distance of dowtown Raleigh restaurants, museums, etc. Great porches for reading or just sitting and talking.
