To start. Getting to the park is a chore it's self. Not a great road for a 34ft travel trailer. This is not a 5th wheel friendly campground. After checking in at the store and getting direction to our campsite we tried to follow the poor design roads and map to the site. Missed a turn and found the boat... More

If you like to camp in an RV or tent and like to feel like you are in a secluded mountain hideaway this is it! This place is well laid out and has a beautiful lake that you can either rent canoes or bring your own small water craft. There is no swimming pool but has a separate lake just... More

My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Cascade Lake Recreation Area campground. The staff was amazing! The hosts did a great job to make our stay enjoyable. This is a great campground for families. No alcohol is permitted and it is not a "adult party place"... So, if that is your thing, you will not be happy... More

Stayed here recently and enjoyed the stay. We stayed in site D19 which was wonderful. It basically on it's own peninsula out into the lake. Very private. Only downfall is that although it is rated for RV's up to 26' we had quite a bit of trouble getting our 20' travel trailer in there. It is a tight entrance through... More

Enjoyed a return camping trip to Cascade Lakes recently. We reserved one of the sites on the lake with full hookups, the view here is just wonderful. The campground has lots of options for everyone, from tents to RV's. We like the proximity to Brevard, Hwy 276, DuPont State Forest, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoy making Cascade Lakes... I really like this campground. The bath house is clean. Lot's of campsites with full hookups and most of the sites are shady. Friendly staff. You can get Wi-Fi at the camp store. Lot's of hiking near by.

Campground was very beautiful. Bathhouses were clean and well maintained. Lots to do right at the campground but many more places to hike very close by. Quiet during the week but can get a bit crowded on the weekend. I would return here again.

I just stayed at Cascade Lake RA for the 4th time. Check-in is generally quick and easy. Nice that they take credit cards. I really like the layout of the campgrounds, some areas great for groups to be close together, and other areas giving solitude and privicy. Campground rules state no alcohol, however, as is the case with most campgrounds,... More

We have camped at Cascade lake for several years. This summer we had a 4 day camping trip with family and friends. Great time. 2 lakes, one for fishing and canoeing and the other with a beach for swimming. Tent camping and full hook ups for campers. Camp fire cooking, roasting marshmallows, swimming, canoeing, beach time fun with entertainment on... More
