We were on a vacation in which we let the road lead us. We wanted to go to Grandfather Mountain for a day trip, but we got to town too late in the day. We were in a position where we had to find a bed for the night. After stopping at a few places that were sold out, we... More

The Pineola Inn is a great choice if you're headed to to the Linville / Blowing Rock area and aren't looking to stay in a high end property. The rates are incredibly affordable, but the hotel does not appear on any Internet booking sites - you'll have to call to book your room. If you don't mind booking over the... More

The rooms were a good size. The a/c worked and it was quiet. The price was great. I meet some older gentlemen here who stay here every year. This has all the basic things you need in a hotel clean, bed, hot water and it was quiet. If you want high class only this is not for you but I... More

We've stayed here twice and enjoyed our stay both times. This is a quiet, somewhat rustic inn and is somewhat secluded. Both times we've stayed in their "cabins" which have kitchens, over-sized tubs and great cabin furniture. it's not too far from Grandfather Mountain and there are 2 restaurants close by, one Italian restaurant and one Mexican. Rooms were very... More

My husband and I decided on the spur of the moment to take a road trip to the NC mountains for the weekend. We did not make reservations and had a difficult time finding a room. We happened to drive by Pineola Inn and decided to stop. We were very fortunate that they had a room! The manager was very... More

What a delightful motel very close to Grandfather Mountain. We decided to take an overnight excursion to this area, trusting we would find a place to stay. We were not disappointed. Staff at Grandfather Mountain recommended 2 motels, we choose this one. Well taken care of, clean and the price was so reasonable we will have to return to the... More

We happened across this place driving around the area trying to decide if we wanted to stay over night or not. My only con for this motel was that the clerck was not very friendly. He wasn't rude either, just not friendly. The room was surprisingly very clean and in good shape. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here on Thanksgiving and I hate that I have not reviewed this yet. We paid only 49.00 per night which was a shocker and I was a little hesitant because of the low cost. Our family has stayed here over the years and it has always been a clean nice place to stay. We were quite pleased when... More

I stayed here for two nights on Easter Weekend, April 2015, while site seeing and fishing in the mountains. The room was very clean and comfortable--a queen sized bed, flat screen TV, microwave, fridge, and comfortable chair. There is very good cell-phone and internet signal available here, too. The location is convenient to nearby restaurants, gas stations, and the Blue... More

Made reservations for this inn 2 months in advance. Called the night before to reconfirm our reservation before we left Southwest Virginia (3.5 hr drive). Was heading down to the Wolley Worm festival. Was told by Pineola to check in by 6pm. We was their literally at 6:05 to find out our rooms had been "given to a man who... More
