Pros: very clean spacious room, very quiet, near parkway, good price cons: a little strange that you can't reserve your room with a credit card and office closes at 6:00 ,bed too soft, inn not near any of the larger towns if that is important to you

I really wanted to give a good review but got no sleep in this place. The beds were very springy. It felt like I was on a wavy boat every time my husband turned over. The whole bed bounced up and down. There were no draperies to keep the spotlights out, so the room was like daytime the whole night.... More

We stayed at the Pineola Inn while driving down the Blue Ridge Parkway in July. We did not book ahead, we pulled in on a Thursday evening and were able to get a room. The room was much nicer than expected from a roadside Inn. We were not expecting much at the cost we paid, but were pleasantly surprised when... More

It was warm, clean, spacious and affordable. Lots of amenities, quiet. It is about a mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were ready to stop and this place was perfect. We were traveling after the busy season and before ski season. It was quiet when we were there and not busy

We were on a vacation in which we let the road lead us. We wanted to go to Grandfather Mountain for a day trip, but we got to town too late in the day. We were in a position where we had to find a bed for the night. After stopping at a few places that were sold out, we... More

The Pineola Inn is a great choice if you're headed to to the Linville / Blowing Rock area and aren't looking to stay in a high end property. The rates are incredibly affordable, but the hotel does not appear on any Internet booking sites - you'll have to call to book your room. If you don't mind booking over the... More

The rooms were a good size. The a/c worked and it was quiet. The price was great. I meet some older gentlemen here who stay here every year. This has all the basic things you need in a hotel clean, bed, hot water and it was quiet. If you want high class only this is not for you but I... More

We've stayed here twice and enjoyed our stay both times. This is a quiet, somewhat rustic inn and is somewhat secluded. Both times we've stayed in their "cabins" which have kitchens, over-sized tubs and great cabin furniture. it's not too far from Grandfather Mountain and there are 2 restaurants close by, one Italian restaurant and one Mexican. Rooms were very... More

My husband and I decided on the spur of the moment to take a road trip to the NC mountains for the weekend. We did not make reservations and had a difficult time finding a room. We happened to drive by Pineola Inn and decided to stop. We were very fortunate that they had a room! The manager was very... More

What a delightful motel very close to Grandfather Mountain. We decided to take an overnight excursion to this area, trusting we would find a place to stay. We were not disappointed. Staff at Grandfather Mountain recommended 2 motels, we choose this one. Well taken care of, clean and the price was so reasonable we will have to return to the... More
