great location for ORAMM (right on the course) --- and all kinds of activities around for non-racing family members. Would be a perfect location for 'out the front door' access to some of the best MTB trails and gravel road riding in NC...... Hosts are great! Breakfast was top notch. 10 minutes from Black Mountain or Old Fort -- and... More

My wife and I live in NC, and go to the Asheville area a lot for weekend trips, typically choosing to stay downtown. This time, we wanted something different like a Bed and Breakfast (which we had never been to before). As you might expect, there are a ton of B&B's to choose from in Western NC, especially around Asheville... More

Thank you so much for your review. We’re so grateful that you chose the Inn on Mill Creek as your first B&B experience. Bring the mountain bike next time for sure. We have great trails in our “neighborhood” of Pisgah National Forest east of Asheville, like Kitsuma, Young's Ridge and Heartbreak Ridge. And our very best wishes to you and... More

Stayed for 3 nights and 2 days in this very quiet, well maintained, very friendly Inn with absolutely wonderful breakfasts. Would have given the place a 5 rating had the mountain views been better. It is well off the beaten path on a nice mostly gravel road, very peaceful with lots of birds, fireflies and trees to look at but... More

My wife and I recently enjoyed a week at the Inn on Mill Creek. Almost two miles back a well-maintained gravel road in a National Forest, the Inn is quiet and cool even in the summertime. We stayed in mid-July and slept at night with the windows up and listened to the frogs on the pond. The site is remote... More

It's so great to hear that you both were able to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax. Many of our guests comment about being able to “unplug” and de-stress, and we feel our remote-yet-close setting is perfect for that. Satellite internet and spotty cell coverage is our great burden in exchange (wink wink). Thanks for staying with... More

Perfect getaway spot -- sit on the deck and watch the goldfinches, indigo buntings, and fireflies or take an easy hike (really more of a stroll) to Point Overlook with its splendid views of Royal Gorge. Do be sure to print the detailed directions to the inn you'll receive with your confirmation email -- we had no difficulty finding our... More

We were just saying how awesome the fireflies have been this summer! We’re so happy you enjoyed your stay in the Lake View Room. It does have one of the best views at the Inn for bird watching. And the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies have been quite a hit, so we will definitely be making them more often. Thanks so... More

This is a quiet and thoughtfully operated B&B. Great night sleep, great breakfast, in a secluded NC forest with a creek, birds, and all kinds of OTHER wildlife easily seen in the summer. Love the pugs.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in the beginning of May and we had a great stay. Off the beaten path but not in the middle of no where. Easy access to town and only 20-30 mins from Ashville. It was so nice meeting you both and hosting you at the Inn this past spring. What I really like about the Inn on Mill Creek is the quiet beauty and the rich history of the area. The Inn is located on one of the old buffalo and Indian trails that led into the mountains of Western North Carolina. Later, the first railroad into the region from the East was created along this route. There are... More

Thank you for the review, Van, and for your kind words about the rooms and the gardens at the Inn on Mill Creek. We love the rich history of the area as well. Mother Nature has been very generous this year with beautiful blooms. We’ll be expanding our garden spaces even more over the next few years. More

This is a delightful and charming INN, and the owners , Dave & Bridget, are equally special. The rooms are beautifully decorated, luxury linens, and tasteful furniture.
