1st time staying at a B & B. Inn keepers were very nice. Breakfast was great and town was within walking stance. Evening reception was good. Second night was fresh clams that the inn keepers gathered themselves from the beach. We expected to hear people in other rooms since it is basically a house. It was actually very quiet and... More

We chose the Cove based on a friends recommendation that had never stayed there, just heard good things about it, they were right. From our arrival to departure we felt comfortable and welcome, part of the family.

We enjoyed a wonderful four day stay in the Portsmouth Suite, the entire third floor with a private balcony with amazing views of the sound and lighthouse. It was everything we expected and more. Ocracoke is a friendly, laid-back gem on the Outer Banks. John and Sharon are warm, welcoming hosts with a vast knowledge of the island and all... More

We had the Plover suite with our own screened in porch. It was very nice. Happy hour is a particularly nice touch as all residents gather over a glass of wine and snacks and recap their day. The jacuzzi bath is very hard to get into and I feel sure takes copious amounts of water. We used it once as... More

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Cove! We hadn't stayed at a B&B since the first child arrived 13 years ago, and it was a treat to experience the comfort and amenities of a Bed and Breakfast again . The breakfasts were delicious, homemade and featured enormous portions (we skipped lunch both days!), and the wine reception was such... More

The building is very nice and every well kept. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very courteous and helpful. This being my first time to the area, they were very helpful in giving advice on things to do in the area.

Ocracoke is scenic, 'laid back', easy to get around (walking, golf cart, bicycle), very nice beaches, fine restaurants, and friendly people. This was our first time staying on the island and the Cove B&B was a great choice. The hosts were genial, the rooms were well kept, the breakfast was tasty and substantial, and the quests (when we stayed there)... More

This was our first visit to Ocracoke and the Outer Banks as we live in Los Angeles. We loved the entire experience. The Cove B&B lies on a quiet, residential street with far off views of the water and sunsets from our private veranda. We stayed in the Pimlico Suite (not really a suite but indeed, a very large room... More

My girlfriend and I visited in May. The service at the Cove was spectacular and both innkeepers were very kind. We particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and wine receptions in the afternoons. I will be returning there for my next trip to Ocracoke.

This no-nonsense B&B is clean, quiet, and professionally run. The breakfasts are delicious and the ambiance reminds me of a friend's summer home in the country. My bed was very comfortable. Although I was there on business, thanks to the peaceful vibe there, I was able to relax as well.
