We just returned from our trip to Ocracoke, and feel as if we found our new destination Island. We stayed at The Cove B&B, and although the room and location were great, we were not pleased with the host, Sharon. Generally B&B host's are super sweet, nice and accommodating, but we found her demeanor and attitude to be "cold" to... More

Great potential for this B&B. Perfect location, quiet. Guest rooms have minor faults, and common areas approach functional. Amenities are so-so. I have stayed at many B&B's over the past thirty-plus years, in many states and 3 countries. The Cove managers are friendly and helpful, sometimes too much, so that I felt we were all vacationing together. Some of their... More

Good location, and fantastic staff. It's a B&B at the beach so your main attraction is getting out and going to the beach. Great breakfasts and a lot of fun. Ocracoke has miles of beach and very few people. Great place to get away to. Also, close to Hatteras and more surf and beach spots. The town is near by... More

Off the beat and full of character. We stayed at the very top w/ views of the sound & relaxing whirlpool tub. Appreciated the bicycles included, had fun taking an early morning spin around parts the island!

1st time staying at a B & B. Inn keepers were very nice. Breakfast was great and town was within walking stance. Evening reception was good. Second night was fresh clams that the inn keepers gathered themselves from the beach. We expected to hear people in other rooms since it is basically a house. It was actually very quiet and... More

We chose the Cove based on a friends recommendation that had never stayed there, just heard good things about it, they were right. From our arrival to departure we felt comfortable and welcome, part of the family.

We enjoyed a wonderful four day stay in the Portsmouth Suite, the entire third floor with a private balcony with amazing views of the sound and lighthouse. It was everything we expected and more. Ocracoke is a friendly, laid-back gem on the Outer Banks. John and Sharon are warm, welcoming hosts with a vast knowledge of the island and all... More

We had the Plover suite with our own screened in porch. It was very nice. Happy hour is a particularly nice touch as all residents gather over a glass of wine and snacks and recap their day. The jacuzzi bath is very hard to get into and I feel sure takes copious amounts of water. We used it once as... More

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Cove! We hadn't stayed at a B&B since the first child arrived 13 years ago, and it was a treat to experience the comfort and amenities of a Bed and Breakfast again . The breakfasts were delicious, homemade and featured enormous portions (we skipped lunch both days!), and the wine reception was such... More

The building is very nice and every well kept. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very courteous and helpful. This being my first time to the area, they were very helpful in giving advice on things to do in the area.
