This was our third stay at The Castle in four years, and a fourth stay is inevitable. The location of The Castle away from the main highway and the uniqueness of the property are just two of the features that draw us back. A rooftop deck and another across the road provide relaxing spots to enjoy the view of the... more

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Castle B&B. We were in the Katie room on the second floor. The view out our window was of Silver Lake. The room was spotless. It had enough storage space for our clothing and beachwear. There was a large corner garden tub in the room. We enjoyed breakfast every morning but... more

It is a cool house that has been renovated into a B&B. Our room was on the cheaper side so it was fairly small and the ceilings felt low. The breakfast was good the first day and then progressively got worse for the remaining 3 mornings we were there. I think it was mainly because it was pretty much the... more

There are eleven rooms in the main house. Actually, the main house is the ONLY place since the outlying condos and apartments have been spun-off to owners. So, the Castle is now a pure B&B. It is situated right on the harbor with a nice dock on which you can watch the boats coming and going. It is an interesting... more

Castle has alot of charm and character. Walls, floors and ceilings are all wood, no sheetrock anywhere! Altho I was concerned this would make rooms a bit dark, they were very inviting, nicely decorated. Ours had plenty of room for 3, comfortable beds (even the twin was comfy), refrig in room. But, as noted elsewhere, it was VERY noisy. Since... more

Stayed with the family for two days (more about that in a moment) in two adjoining condo units, which converted into "one unit". They were spacious, well appointed, neatly decorated, and very, very comfortable for the 5 of us (the Juniper suites). We would stay here again in a heartbeat (in fact, we plan to next year). The pool is... more

This is the second time we've stayed at the Castle, and I'd say this stay bordered on average/to above average This time we stayed on the first floor . The room has a t.v. and small refrigerator, and had plenty of space for just two people. It was also very clean. I thought our bed was comfortable, firm. Be advised... more

Every year we make our annual 4th of July trip to Ocracoke. This time was our first stay at the castle, we stayed in one of the condos, it was quite pricey, but comfortable, we had a 1 bedroom, the kids stayed on the sleep sofa which was broken and we had to fight with each night, the location was... more

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights at the Castle in Ocracoke. The Castle is very unique, and has some very nice amenities like a swimming pool, sauna, spa, free use of bikes, etc. It was very clean and the staff very friendly and accomodating. The view of Silver Lake from the Castly is excellent. We had a wonderful... more

After a very disappointing honeymoon to a five-star resort on St. Lucia in May 2005, my husband surprised me with a second honeymoon in July 2005 to Ocracoke Island, one of our favorite places. He made reservations at The Castle Bed & Breakfast. What a wonderful, relaxing place. Our room was perfect with a great view of the harbor. All... more
