If you're at the beach all day and it's really hot and after a lovely dinner of fresh North Carolina seafood, what could possibly be better than indulging in a frosty ice cream treat? Yeah, not much, right? If you're on Ocracoke Island, you should stop in at the Slushy Stand and try one of their ($5) milkshakes. They may not have 31 flavors but they have a bunch and their ice cream is top notch! They have lots of other things here too besides shakes but we didn't have any of it. Are you concerned about all the calories you'll be ingesting as you suck down that shake? Well guess what? You can also rent a bike at the Slushy Stand. No kidding. And there is NO better way to get around Ocracoke than on a bike. more
