We can't say enough great things about this "heavenly" bed and breakfast. There is really no amenity that is not included in the room. There is even a sound radio that helps one sleep with soothing sounds. The bed was extremely comfortable with exquisite linens. The inn keepers treat you like family and can't do enough for you. Breakfast is... More

The location of the Aerie was excellent. It is within walking distance of the historic district, local shopping, Tryon Palace, waterfront and restaurants. The home is restored and furnished with antiques. The finishes are nicely done. Good quality linens, nice library of books and DVDs. We actually stayed across from the main house at the Aerie Conference Center in the... More

We've stay at B&B's regularly over the years. I prefer ones where it's quiet and the hosts are unassuming and nearly invisible. The Aerie is a lovely old home, and the wife is an excellent chef -- the breakfast was truly elegant, delicious, well-presented. I did find the husband, who runs the front of the house, to be a bit... More

The Aerie came highly recommended to us from dear friends and it didn't disappoint. Marty and Michael are professional inn keepers and eagerly share a wealth of information. Their restaurant recommendations are spot on. We would definitely return even if it meant adding an hour or two to our journey. The breakfast is not to be missed!

This was a great Bed and Breakfast located in the heart of historic downtown New Bern right around the corner from Tryon Palace. The owners, Mike and Marty, were very kind and welcoming. The staff did a wonderful job tending to the rooms and our needs. They serve a delicious breakfast each morning and the menu changed daily. The breakfast... More

Stayed at the Aerie for the sixth time! Each time is better than before - their attention to detail is mazing! Loved the "Hidden Room" this visit and my granddaughter and I loved the time we were there. The 1929 Ford tour is a nice new addition. Next time, we'll take the pontoon tour of the riverside. Marty & Mike... More

If you are going to New Bern don't even consider staying anywhere else. I would return in a heartbeat. Everything thing was outstanding, private, spotless and comforting. I was a solo traveller and felt safer than I have in any hotel.

I have been to several BnBs they were all very nice but the Aerie is by far head and shoulders above them. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. Made new friends whom I would call frequent flyers. I was impressed that most of the guests have returned so many times. The accommodations were lovely as ex pected and... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and wish it was longer! Marty and Michael truly care about their business and go above and beyond to give their guests attention and care. New Bern is a fantastic little town...we were able to park our rental car at the B&B and never needed it again. Everything is within walking distance. There are some... More

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Aerie. The "happy hour" social time on the patio was a great bonus. We enjoyed our conversation with the gentleman from England who was a temporary Inn keeper while we were there. Very fun. Great location to be able to walk downtown or to the historic sites. The breakfast was... More
