We stayed at 4 B&B's on our recent 8-day trip circling North Carolina. Three were excellent, but I have to say that Aerie was the best. We arrived in time to enjoy wine and cheese and great conversation in the living room with our "innsitter" hostess (owners were out of town) and fellow guests. The hostess was so pleasant and... more

We fell in love with The Aerie: I cannot imagine how it could possibly have been better! Our hostess was incredibly welcoming, ready to assist with recommendations or reservations. This B&B offers cold and hot beverages at any time (including gourmet hot chocolates and coffees), a DVD lending library, board games, and an evening wine/appetizer social hour. The breakfast was... more

We stayed at the Aerie in June. The owners were away but the "Inn Sitter" made us feel at home. The rooms are nice and the location is a block from Tryon Palace. more

We have never stayed in a B and B before and my mother in-law decided to give us the romantic get-a-away package for our wedding gift and we LOVED it, it was beautiful and a very loving and caring atmosphere. We can't wait to make a yearly tradition out of staying there. more

We have stayed in many Inns throughout the southeast and the Aerie is by far the best we have ever experienced! Every comfort and detail was provided and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a culinary delight! more

My wife and I had a GREAT time staying here. The Inn was comfortable and the owners were helpful. They assisted us with dinner reservations each night and were great in pointing out things to do. Breakfast was very good and once again the owners were very attentive during our meal. Overall a great experience! more

My partner and I found the Aerie when looking for a gay or gay friendly B&B in New Bern. The hotel has a predominately straight clientele but we were greeted by the owner and treated to the utmost of hospitality and comfort. Our room was beyond expectations, complete with a very comfortable King size bed, Jacuzzi and lots of amenities.... more

I was looking for a place to take my wife for a surprise weekend away. Found the Aerie based on tripadvisor reviews and location and we were so glad we did. The Inn was clean and really comfortable, we stayed in the Hidden Room for the king size bed and the fact it was a little secluded from the rest... more

We were lucky and arrived there while the Aerie was decorated for Christmas. The owners were so welcoming (sorry I've forgotten their names) and friendly. They even upgraded our room--now that's a nice touch. They helped us with dinner reservations and where to walk to see the sunset. I can't praise it enough--complementary coffee, water, soft drinks, wine and snacks... more

The Aerie B&B is the perfect place to stay while in to New Bern! Everything about our stay was top notch! The Innkeepers are wonderful people who made us feel right at home, never did we want for anything. We stayed in the Duck Inn room, which is on the first floor, and it was the perfect size...cozy! They provide... more
