Hotel was fantastic. The room was extremely clean, however the bathroom was every small. The bed mattress needed replaced. Staff was awesome. Don't bother with the continental breakfast - waste of time.

We called 2 x to see if we would be welcome to have our dog in the room and were verbally approved do so. Upon arrival after driving five hours the owner said she knew nothing about the dog and refused permitting us to stay. She saw our dog and reconsidered and permitted us to stay with an additional charge.... More

This is the true feel of Mayberry! There is no better place to stay! This is the nicest & safest & cleanest hotel I have found from NC to FL! You will love the people who run it! They treat you like family! You can't go wrong with this pick! I wish every hotel could be this nice!

I stayed here for a week and would recommend Mayberry Motor Inn to anyone who likes a "down home" feeling. Beautiful grounds, quiet room, and close to everything. It is an older 'Motor Inn' but that is the Charm! The Christmas lights and decor were very "homey" and added an extra Holiday warmth! Clean, comfortable room and great staff.....They made... More

I am a BIG Andy Griffith fan!! We discovered "Mayberry" and Mayberry Motor Inn several years ago and have been coming here several times a year ever since. We ALWAYS stay at this motel and have become very good friends with the Venable family. I love staying at a motel where you have the same people managing it....including the cleaning... More

We just stayed here during our annual trip to the Mt Airy festival called Mayberry Days. The motel itself is reminiscent of the 60s. We've stayed here every year since 1997. The owner, Alma, is very nice. We think the world of her. She has become an extended family member. The rooms here are basic rooms, just what you would... More

This is a small old fashioned private owned motel from the 1950's & 1960's. It was very clean and quiet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Outdoor pool and gazeebo in a park setting. I stayed 2 nights and would recommend this motel. Owned by Americans. Aunt Bea's museum is in one room.

We expected something merely adequate in this out-of-the way destination, and stumbled upon an outstanding and enjoyable experience. Family-run, it would seem to be the best choice in this area...we'd most certainly recommend this nostalgic spot that has the best aspects of Fifties and Sixties roadside hostelries.

While the Inn is a little outdated, that's not a big deal. Cute charming and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed there on two occasions in July. The first night was in the older section of the building, which I preferred. The second stay we had a room in the newer section. It was clean and... More
