Fabulous family weekend enjoying the best of Mayberry. The b&b was exceptional, beautifully decorated, with delicious dining. The house was very pretty and the beds were wonderful. We had a great time.

I see 460 excellent reviews and can't really add much to what's already been written. We had a wonderful 31 yr anniversary, thanks in part to the beautifully kept manor and partly because of our wonderful hostess, Pam. Very personable and personal. You won't get that kind of service at even your best hotels. Read other reviews, then plan your... More

What a beautiful place. Inside and out. Pam was great couldn't find a better hostess. The breakfast was delicious and they accommodate your dietary concerns. The interior is done impeccably and the grounds are beautiful. Just take a walk outside and relax on the swing or just sit in a quiet area and read. They do accept pets and the... More

We stopped in Mt. Airy on our way to the Masters. It was a convenient stop-over, and I have always been a huge Andy Griffith/Mayberry fan (corny - I know) We picked The Sobotta based on other Tripadvisor reviws, and we were not disappointed. JR and Pam were outstanding hosts - very personable and welcoming. The house is beautiful. We... More

The accommodations, the home & the yard were beautiful. The breakfast was excellent. The hosts Robin, JR & Pam were very upbeat, even giving us help and suggestions with accommodations for a couple of days forward as we made our way to the Masters Golf Tournament from Canada. You won't be disappointed!

The photos don't do this place justice. It is just unbelievable! The owners have managed to blend opulence with comfort and the result Is cozy luxury! If you don't have a reason to come to Mt. Airy, good news; this is it! My best friend and I came for a weekend of antiquing but we would have been perfectly happy... More

Our primary vacation destination involves palm trees, sand, and the ocean. However, this has immediately become another favorite. Upon arriving, we marveled at the beauty of this home and were greeted and continually treated throughout the entirety of our trip with the utmost hospitality. The breakfasts served were absolutely delicious! This was our first B&B experience. The love, dedication, and... More

The B&B has comfortable new king beds with beautiful bedding in large rooms, plus walking distance to the downtown area. Ask about the history of the town and Sobotta Manor and their special "Red Stove" from Europe.
