We stayed here one night on our way to Charleston South Carolina. The hotel was inviting and charming. We enjoyed the pictures of Andy Griffith and the small town feel. It is within walking distance to a few restaurants and a Walgreens is next door. The breakfast was your usual Hampton and we enjoyed it. We would stay again. More

A very nice property - the new wing has the best rooms if available - but still a nice place to visit Mayberry, Pilot Mountain and the general Mount Airy area. More

We were lucky to stay one night at Andy Griffith's actual childhood home which is part of the Hampton Inn property. We enjoyed take out in Andy's kitchen, watching AG show DVD's in the living room, and reading all the articles displayed throughout the home.
