Get cozy campground! Love the creek front sites. Clean bath houses. The kids love the water slide although it is pricey. It should be included for campers. The park is open to public swimming and they tend to take over the swimming area during the day. The pool is a joke - don't waste your time....but the creek makes up... More

Was told my friend and I would be better suited at another camground (that didnt even have toilets and showers), didnt even have a chance to view the rest of the campground, ended up staying at another camp ground, planned on bringing a group to the mountains at the end of the summer but will be using another place

Best thing about this campground is LOCATION on 181 just 10 or so miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway and all the majestic views that go with a drive there. The Campground is VERY dated - the Camp Store did not have matches or a lighter for sale! - BUT bathrooms were CLEAN, campers were mostly families. Tent sites... More

We visited on a Thursday and Friday night..when we arrived we where able to just ride around a pick a site for our fifth wheel trailer, we found barley any 50 amp service sites, and the ones they had, had permanent set trailers on them, and to many of the choice sites do not have sewer hook ups. The campground... More

We visited this campground for the first time in July 2013. We were camping in a pop up camper. Pros: Clean and family-oriented. Cons: The elderly man at the hut checking campers in was the biggest grouch ever (learn some basic customer service dude) and the early closing hours of the pool and slide.

We stayed for a week right after Memorial Day, renting one of the campers on site. The campground was very nice, with clean bathrooms and showers (very clean!) A cute little beach, and tons of privacy. During the week there were just a few other campers and the resident cabinets are far removed so unless you go looking for them... More

Maybe we have just "lucked up" but both visits here last week and last summer were wonderful. Granted we did stay across the street in the cabins all week, but we used the campground facilities everyday and had a wonderful time. We have been bringing our youth here for retreat and camp and it has been perfect. The kids especially... More

Fortunately, we chose a weekend that was early season and rainy otherwise we would've been overtaken by locals and kids. This campground is definitely a "hot spot" for Saturday night entertainment. When we pulled into the campground on Saturday morning, we saw a sea of tents - probably close to 200 in the front lot. The RV lots near the... More

Very bad stay this time. Started out with a crowd of drunks braying all night. The kids are out of control. I camp to spend time with my kids not be the camp baby sitter. You can not relax with kids old enough to know better running right throug the middle of your site. Parents should teach them better but... More
