I stayed at the Microtel in Matthew ...well I was there for an hour....We checked in and then went around town...We got back an hour later and after really looking at the room we left...The room was dirty and smelled from smoke and heavy perfume....When we checked out we had to pay after only being there for an hour.....I called... more

We booked this Microtel only because it was the only Microtel in the Charlotte area that wasn't full on account of the NCAA tournament. There are 5 or 6 Microtels in Charlotte and I have to imagine that this is the worst. I have stayed at other Microtels without a problem, so it's not like I am unaccustomed to the... more

Wow! Some very negative reviews. I've stayed here numerous times for several years, and have never had problems. nothing fancy, for sure, but always been clean. more

This hotel looks good from the outside but inside the wallpaper was ripped, the place just felt dirty (bathroom was clean), tv was way up above the closet and hard to see and the room was crammed. The wireless internet signal was so weak I could hardly use it. more

Our stay in this hotel started out badly; I had booked the wrong dates, unbeknownst to me, through some computer clerical error, and our reservation was basically worthless due to my own mistake. Do not stay here. Room was filthy - blood-stained box spring, torn wallpaper and cushions, broken furniture, dirty bathroom (hair on floor, in shower), sink did not drain, unknown substances came up through drain, gray, dingy shower, orange sticky substance on bathroom door, frightening clientele.
