Just finished spending the weekend at the Inn at Blue Ridge. What a lovely property! First description that comes to my mind is relaxation. It is an older establishment that backs up to a golf course but is very clean and I really liked Charlie, the innkeeper. He reminded me of my grandfather and he had a calming demeanor and... More

I'd like to echo many of the great reviews of this B&B. If you're looking for gourmet meals, look elsewhere. If you want quiet but well appointed rooms with all the amenities this is your place. The price is not to be believed. This was our second stay at the property and it is so out of the ordinary we... More

Having stayed here several years ago, my wife and I made a detour so that we could spend the night at this lovely little place. Sadly, when we arrived, we learned that one half of the owners, Jan, had passed away last year. This place was now being run by Charlie, a delightful older gentleman who obviously misses his lovely... More

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are in the area or headed to the mountains. We were greeted by Charlie, the owner, who is a delightful person. The rooms are spacious with a sitting area. The setting is beautiful and relaxing with the river running along the back of the inn. You can sit on your deck... More

This was our second time staying at the Inn. It is some peaceful, quite, relaxing and Charlie is a wonderful host. Our room was most comfortable and never felt cramped as we were there 5 days. We enjoyed one morning out of the patio enjoying nature and golfers on the course. The continental breakfast was great with a variety of... More

Its been a couple of years, but we spent 2 nights at the Inn. Its still charming, large rooms, and only $79. A nice continental breakfast awaits in the morning, as does the ever present Mr. Charlie with a smile on his face. We love sitting on the balcony and listening to the flowing creek any time of day

I stayed at the Inn at Blue Ridge on two separate occasions in the fall of 2011. I was in Marion on business and stayed three nights each time. I stayed in both a traditional hotel room (clean, quiet, could use a little updating, but otherwise perfect) with fireplace and in the larger "apartment" style suite (which is extremely nice,... Not sure if there is any heat in the hotel other than the fireplace, for which you need to purchase a log. The breakfast was continental, nothing home made - just cereal put into small baggie size portions. This is NOT what I expect of a B&B, even at that I do expect a little heat when it gets cold... Stayed at the Inn at Blue Ridge in July 2012 with the plans to do some hiking around Mount Mitchell. I was booked in the "Wood Anemone" room on the 2nd floor. Check-in was no problems and friendly. The woman took us up to the room and showed us in and made sure we had everything we needed. A very... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in July and it was sort of a last minute reservation because of the highland games it was hard to find places to stay. I didn't mind being here. The rooms were a little dated but you know, it's the mountains so who cares. The rooms all have a fireplace which would've been handy... More
