Found an open room here for a reasonable price. Front of the building a little run down. Room was comfortable. Neighboring room a little noisy during the night. Same room in. Cherokee would have cost double.

We were tired and wanted to save a few $$, so chose this motel. Well, it was miserable. The place was nearly empty, yet was told there were no non-smoking rooms. Asked for a room towards the rear to avoid traffic (motorcycle) noise, and given a room a few doors down from the front. The room smelled like an ashtray... More

everything in and around was extremely dirty! breakfast cookies a day old maybe 2 days old doughnuts are very possibly the best that can be said of this Scottish Inn. If a person can get beyond the filth, the tv didn't work. Someone knocked on the door in the middle of the night to interrupt what little sleep was possible... More

Spent one night and was not sure what to expect as this motel was half the price of most others.Unfortunately there was a problem with the king room we requested and we were given a double as that was all that was left. The room was spotless, I have stayed in rooms costing three times as much and they have... More

Spent one night 4th of July weekend. AC quit about midnight, carpet was stained and towels were rough. I left before 7 the next morning and never could talk to anyone about AC until after I got home late that afternoon. The man said I should have rung bell, which was on the other side of the building. I wasn't... More

Spent a night here last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Very, very clean no frills motel. Friendly staff, very helpful with advice on area attractions. Good breakfast treats and coffee. On the quiet end of town close to well stocked store. Price was great in comparison to others in the area. Will stay here when in the area.

Lovely little motel in a lovely place. Rooms were very clean, staff was friendly. I give it four stars because you just don't find this often. We were very comfortable. Only downside was the coffee...tasted more like tea.

The Scottish Inn, Maggie Valley sits near the intersection Soco Road (Hwy 19) and the road down Jonathan Creek leading to I-40. At first glance, you might pass by the Scottish Inn. It is an older brick, one level motel down and back from Hwy 19, However, its rooms are large and clean. They are decorated no differently from a... More
