This Microtel was a very clean and quiet place to stay in for a trip to Maggie Valley. The staff all except the housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious the bed was very comfortable. The only downside was the housekeeping staff slamming the doors after the finished cleaning. And how far you had to walk... More

My husband and I stayed at Microtel 4/15/12 for one night, while exploring Ashville/Maggie Valley/Cherokee area in NC. We found a great price on the room at the Welcome Center on the back of a coupon book, $49.99 for 2 adults and 2 children. There were just the two of us, and we were able to get a non-smoking suite... More

We stayed one night on 2/21/12 to be able to ski at nearby Cataloochee Resort. Beds were comfortable, but pillows are really fat (I prefer a thinner pillow). I recommend that you stay on the top floor (2nd floor) because sounds from above seem very noticeable. Breakfast was OK and a nice bonus. Did not use pool or try internet... More

If you book a room here make sure there are not any youth groups staying there. Staff was extremely unhelpful in dealing with the loud, late night slamming doors, hanging out in the hall keeping people awake youth group that was staying at the same time. When I approached the office personal they told me "there was nothing they could... More

Nice not fancy but its clean. The pool is good but its a mighty cold walk to get back to the room in winter. They are friendly. And breakfast is fine but nothing extra. More

This was our first trip to Maggie Valley for a weekend of skiing with family & friends. We stayed for 1 night with two adults and two kids (4 & 6). I called to make my reservation and Denise answered all of my questions. I specifically asked about some of the older review complaints about roaches, bed bugs, smoking, noise,... More

We stayed just one night to ski at Cataloochee. It is super close to the entrance of the ski hill! I got a suite for the same price as a Queen with my Triple A membership and you could've slept a few in there if need be. It has a sleeper cushion thing under the window to sleep. It wouldn't... More

My husband and I travel 10 to 20 nights a month and stay in many hotels. The first time I stopped in to check rates at the Microtel Maggie Valley I was greeted by Vivianne, She was so very helpful to me and took the time to answer my many questions. We were looking for a place to spend Christmas... More

My 12 year old son and I came for some rest and relaxation and snowboarding. We were greeted by an extraordinary lady named Kathy working the front desk. She listened to our plight of "lack of sleep" since the grand-kids moved in and moved us to an end of the hall room out of consideration for our droopy eyes. The... More

My husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary and my 60th birthday with a stay at the Maggie Valley Microtel. We have stayed there on several vacations before and were always treated very nice. This time was different because of a wonderful lady named Kathy, who worked at the desk. She went out of her way to make our stay... More
