As frequent travelers, and also visitors to Maggie Valley, we knew the round-up of Motels in the area. Selecting one based on price alone was important on this trip. Finding one that will readily accept our Springer Spaniel was something else. Booking our room thru one of the online booking agents saved us plenty of money. Being seasoned travelers we... More

This was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in for a cheaper hotel. The customer service was outstanding the place is dated so don't think your staying at the Ritz Carlton We needed a room for 1 night and read the reviews thought give this place a try would stay again for sure at $50 a... Was not a very clean place, bathroom door was broke wouldn't shut and there was a lot of dust on the base boards in bathroom and through out room. For the condition of the room it wasn't worth the price we paid. They double the prices for Friday and Saturday... We will never stay there again!!!

pros: the room had a microwave, fridge, alarm clock, expanded cable tv on an old tube set, and a phone. it was generally clean and the grounds were quiet at night. cons: very outdated rooms. prices were not the lowest in town. if you drive along soco road/highway 19, there are 10s of motels strewn along the road. many had... This is a classic style hotel. I found it to be charming, my wife creepy. I guess it’s how you look at things. We had a king room with all amenities (fridge, microwave, hairdryer), good bed and even a small sofa. Unfortunately time is catching up with this motel. They still make the best of it, but they can't hide... More

Bring your own sleeping bags for the hide-a-bed couch Bring your own shampoo/soaps Be sure to get room on the second floor to alleviate potential bug issues We stayed here on the third weekend in October--which is peak time for color in the Smokies and I know that played in part to the high price we paid. At any rate,... More

This is you mom and pop Hotel. We have been coming up for business and staying here because it is pet friendly. 4 times in July and August. The rooms are some what dated, but clean, very clean. My old dog, 18 years, enjoyed the grassy area about 30 feet from our room. Large grass area behind the hotel and... More

Front desk check-in was the most unfriendly clerk we've ever experienced. AC in our room had to be plugged in to operate. Missing control knobs on the AC. Clerk said there were no 'extra' knobs and there were no other rooms available for us.....Bathtub was a bit mildewed & liked to spout cold water whenever you got lathered up! Bathtub... More

We were not planning to be in our room much while we were on vacation, so I didn't want to pay a lot for a room. I was pleased with price, facility and location. Loved the rockers out front. This is a family friendly place. What I really liked is it had a real key to open the door (not... More
