Dawn and Mike were the perfect hosts and we were very blessed to find them last minute like we did. The room was spotless. I never allow my clothing to lay in the floor of a motel bathroom but had no problem doing that here. You can smell how clean it is when you enter. It was "like staying at... More

We stayed 2 nights the first weekend in October. We were with our motorcycle buddies, we had 3 rooms and 2 cabins. It's a true mom mad pop kinda place. The owners were very accommodating. After riding the roads all day we would return to a rip roaring fire in the fire bowl. That was a very nice touch. We... More

We spent ten days at the Alamo and thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfectly Clean little cottage, with everything one needs to stay comfortably. It's not beautiful or up-to-date but comfortable, clean and affordable. We had our tiny doggie with us and he was safe and happy as well. Friendly owners who are always busy and making sure things are right. We... More

One of the only pet friendly motels. The owner/managers do everything themselves. They want to give you the best for your money. The rooms are spotless and well furnished. We had a cabin on the stream. Opened the windows at night and slept with the babbling brook sound (very relaxing). Has a/c, heat, stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, walk in... More

Alamo Motel and Cottages are hosted by a very friendly couple, Mike and Dawn, who are very attentive to your needs. The room we stayed in for three nights was sparkling clean and comfortable. Likewise, the grounds are immaculate and delightful flowers grow everywhere. The bed was lovely, better than ours at home. They build a campfire at night for guests... More

We stopped at the Alamo Motel & Cottages 1- to see Dawn & Mike & 2- because we now travel with a 60 lb + Portuguese Podengo. We were made welcome, & Molly, our new travelling companion, was royally received by Dawn & Mike. We have enjoyed visiting the Alamo every trip to Florida since they rescued me 2 yrs... More

We were quite pleased with the Alamo Motel & Cottages. Mike and Dawn were friendly and professional from the time we booked until the time we departed. They have really created a pleasant and charming atmosphere along a small babbling brook in Maggie Valley. We stayed in Cabin 14 for two nights. This cabin was cozy and there was just... More

I only stayed one night, but Mike and Dawn went above and beyond to make my stay great. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Forget the chain hotels, stay at this gem in Maggie Valley. I know I'll return.

We stayed at the Alamo in one of the cottages for a week. We rode in on our motorcycles with a group. We were greeted by Dawn & Mike immediately. They accommodated all of our needs. In fact, they became part of our extended family. They are probably the hardest working property owners I've ever seen. Rooms were clean &... More
