If you're looking for a nice, quiet, place to stay in Maggie Valley, look elsewhere! Anytime we entered or left our room we had to run a gauntlet of drunken, smoke billowing, partiers - and the parties ran until after midnight every night. When we tried to contact the Front Desk for help, there was no answer. Bottom line -... More

Contact with the office after closing is by way of posted phone number that goes directly to managers quarters on site or by the doorbell located by the front office door. I see that you are from the middle of 'alcoholic, redneck, nicotine addicted' country, it must be pretty hard. We can take care of situations if we know about... More

This was the worst hotel I've stayed at. Cobwebs on light fixtures, burn hole in blanket, mold on the wall in the shower, tar on shower rod and light switches. Smelled like mold,TV didn't work. Guy at the desk new nothing about local events.

We visit Maggie Valley several times a year. Our last stay was with Castlewood. Rocking chairs in front of the room is always my priority when staying in Maggie Valley. We checked in, the guy at the desk was very friendly, even gave me options of room locations. The price was a little higher than I expected, but it was... More

We booked this last minute and were thoroughly impressed. It is an older establishment I thought for the price, however it was super clean which is the first thing I look for ..we had a king size bed that was super comfortable And the staff was very accommodating when we lost our key and when we had to get a... Castlewood is one of the best places we have stayed in the NC Mountains. It is quaint, with rocking chair porches, a wonderful covered, and huge, gazebo. The people who work there are the best. We will stay there every time we go to the area.

I can not say anything negative about our stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean. That's the first thing I look for. The staff was cheerful and accommodating. The tv was the older style but really is that a big deal? It worked and the picture was clear. Our WiFi worked really well, in fact much better than some of the... More

First of all let me say that this place is probably pretty typical for the mom and pop motels in Maggie Valley. This is however not an excuse. We have been traveling to Maggie Valley for may years and have stayed in many of the hotels/motels. This was not the worst but it certainly can improve. I will say it... More

Checked in OK to this locally run hotel, although had issues straightaway with Wifi. I was put into a room at the end of the hotel that had no Wifi signal, but to be fair after I asked reception I was moved to a much better room and the guy at the desk even rang up the Wifi people and... More

My husband and I stayed here two nights with our daughter and two grandchildren. It was clean, average motel setting. Quiet place. I was suprised when we went out to eat and to ghost town for the day and we came back our room was cleaned, beds made, fresh towels .. You rarely get that service anymore!!

Hey Just kidding, the water is really tasty, but I got your attention ! The Castlewood Inn is a nice place to spend a 3 day weekend or a longer vacation. The rooms were as clean as any place we have stayed and The Lady and Gentleman that run it were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. He was... More
