I can not say anything negative about our stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean. That's the first thing I look for. The staff was cheerful and accommodating. The tv was the older style but really is that a big deal? It worked and the picture was clear. Our WiFi worked really well, in fact much better than some of the... More

First of all let me say that this place is probably pretty typical for the mom and pop motels in Maggie Valley. This is however not an excuse. We have been traveling to Maggie Valley for may years and have stayed in many of the hotels/motels. This was not the worst but it certainly can improve. I will say it... More

Checked in OK to this locally run hotel, although had issues straightaway with Wifi. I was put into a room at the end of the hotel that had no Wifi signal, but to be fair after I asked reception I was moved to a much better room and the guy at the desk even rang up the Wifi people and... More

My husband and I stayed here two nights with our daughter and two grandchildren. It was clean, average motel setting. Quiet place. I was suprised when we went out to eat and to ghost town for the day and we came back our room was cleaned, beds made, fresh towels .. You rarely get that service anymore!!

Hey Just kidding, the water is really tasty, but I got your attention ! The Castlewood Inn is a nice place to spend a 3 day weekend or a longer vacation. The rooms were as clean as any place we have stayed and The Lady and Gentleman that run it were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. He was... More

My husband and I decided to go to Maggie Valley this past weekend. (This was our first getaway without children in 17 years) so we were really excited!! I was having trouble finding a room because most were booked or highly priced due to a festival going on in town. I booked here on booking.com the day we were to... More

My family and I stayed here for three nights. It was conveniently located to several restaurants and attractions. Very clean. Friendly staff. It was nice and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

Castlewood came at a fair price - and the housekeeping staff made sure the room was almost spotless. Apparently, the facilities have recently undergone some renovations and the craftmanship displayed was poor. My business requires I spend a great deal of time on computer, thus my biggest frustration. While CI advertised WIFI, it was almost non-existent or slow to the... More

We have 4 wi-fi transceivers located around the building, and yes the internet does go down seldom, and as for the low signal I don't know what to say about that. Our main computer in the office works off wi-fi and we only have total internet down very seldom. We communicate with Booking .com, Expedia.com and Directinn.com every six minutes.... More

I usually rate a room by cleanliness and shower pressure. Sounds odd I know...but I hate to not be able to rinse shampoo out of my hair without bending down and doing it under the faucet. Our room was clean...bed was okay but not as comfy as I like, pillows need to be replaced as they are flat and hard.... More

If my search is correct the guest stayed in rm 101. I checked the showerhead and found some debris in the head, cleaned it out and it is full blast now. (never had a complaint about water pressure, that is why i was surprised). I checked the 2 king size pillows in the room and they felt right to me,... More

We spend a few nights at Castlewood Inn while enjoying the Blue Ridge Parkway and Smoky Mountain National Park. The motel was in the heart of Maggie Valley, was convenient to restaurants and very close to the parkway entrance. The property was mostly clean and quiet while we were there. It is a dated property and poor construction. There was... More

Everyone has their opinion, most are very good and a few not so good. We have to live with that. The guest only paid $72.50 per night. More
