We selected this place because it was ranked so high by TripAdvisor but we disagree. The only positives were the price and the welcoming on check-in. Service declined steadily after that. On our second day the girl working the front desk seemed more interested in her Kindle than helping any guests. The third day our room didn't even get cleaned.... More

We didn't know the area and had to pick a place based on price and location. We decided Maggie Valley creekside lodge. This place was GREAT! It was central to all the surrounding attractions and restaurants. The best part of it was the room. It was well put together and CLEAN. There were no bad smells...the heat worked great and... More

Our two-night stay was enjoyable. Although the rooms were not what I would classify as "modern," they were very clean and comfortable. They offered free wi-fi and did have an indoor pool (in a separate building all its own). The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. There were several restaurants closeby to choose from, as well.

We stayed two nights and I am still puzzled at the rave ratings that led us to book here. There was nothing disastrous about it, but this is a very dated motel-type accommodation with a tiny bathroom, thin carpet, worn bedspreads and 70s furnishings. The long rectangular heat and AC unit (not central) was beneath the window and ran 24hrs,... More

Our stay was quite enjoyable. We stayed 3 nights. I was worried that the lodge may not be as good as advertised, but that was not the case. It has a great location as it has several diners and shops within walking distance. There is a wonderful creek that runs behind the lodge and it was enjoyable to go down... More

Really enjoyable place to stay. Room had a balcony overlooking the creek.Spacious Room with comfortable bed. Staff was very nice and friendly. Took only 35-40 minutes to reach the Valley at Cataloochee where the elk were in rut. Awesome stay and can't wait to go back

Sure you can find more updated places. But you won't find many locally owned places like Creekside. Nice folks, very clean rooms, ample parking, rocking chairs placed in front of your room are nice too! There are a couple of walkable places for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! Beautiful location out back of the lodge has a couple of fire pits... More

This Lodge, gave us a clean, well maintained, and courteous visit. Our Stanly County Group has stayed here now for two great years, and we really appreciate the Inn giving us a good place to stay while on our annual trip to Maggie Valley, every year. We would recommend this Hotel to everyone.

Stayed here while in town for the so called "rally". Was very clean, comfortable bed & within walking distance of restaurants. ...would recommend it! Did not know they had firepit seating area by creek until after we left. Would have been nice to sit & enjoy sat nite since nothing to do!
