The Alpine Inn was a wonderful place to stay on my first visit to Little Switzerland. My room was quaint, quiet, and offered a breathtaking view from my private porch. It was almost too peaceful so I went to have a hot chocolate and watch some news in the inn's common room! Breakfast on the inn's porch....I could've stayed there all... More

Was overall disappointed. The only positive I can offer is the view and the friendliness of the owners. The bathroom was very tiny ; we barely fit in the room. We had to move beside the toilet to close the bathroom door. There is no air conditioning or screens on doors/windows so one can open up for fresh air. There... More

We spent a weekend at Alpine Inn and loved our stay. Our hosts Susan and Ron were charming. We loved the breakfast on the porch overlooking heaven with a ballet of hummingbirds at the feeders actually within arm's length. There were dozens of them. We'll be back soon. The inn was handy to lots of other attractions and entertainment in... More

Compelled to review b/c this place has got a magical quality to it. If you like the idea of waking up to a postcard view, enjoying a wonderful breakfast, and chatting with engaging and delightful hosts, book a room, or the mountain suite! Thanks Susan & Ron:-)

My husband and I just stayed for an anniversary celebration. We had been at the Alpine Inn 26 years ago. It is very clean, beautiful view and the owners are very nice and accommodating. We were surprised that the breakfast was not included we thought that was a norm for a bed and breakfast but it was very good and... More

My 4th visit to Alpine Inn and no disappointment. I was as delighted as usual with my stay. I took my brother who was visiting from France with his family, and they were all enchanted with the warm welcome, the scenery, the breakfast content and setting. You eat your delicious, healthy, succulent breakfast facing the perfect mountain scenery; A perfect... More

My boyfriend and I took an overnight trip with a few friends to explore some of the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoy a seafood dinner at a nearby restaurant. We chose to stay at the Alpine Inn because of their affordable rates, and I am so glad we did. What a fun lodge, comfortable and with a relaxed, home-like atmosphere.... More

We didn't have reservations, so we didn't have expectations. We were warmly welcomed to the Inn. Gave us a great suggestion for dinner. Took time to show us around the property and point out interests.Being smokers as we are, they warned us that it could disturb others on the balcony ,or get in rooms and showed us a good place... My wife and I (both lower/mid 30's) came here to stay after finding it online, and we couldn't be happier with that decision. The location could not possibly be better and the view is, quite literally, the perfect mountain scene. It's hard to describe just how relaxed the surroundings and scenery made us feel. The owners, Ron and Susan, were... More
