Overpriced, stinky room & terrible food. Checked into our room on the top floor that had a bad odour upon opening the door. When we asked about getting some food they said maybe we could fix you something, more like it was problem, the dinning area stinks like dog because there is hound that walks around in there & the... Some people write reviews leaving out most of the facts and making up things they want people to believe are facts. This reviewer claims there was an "odor" in their room, but never reported one. I remember them coming into the restaurant as I was the one waiting on them. The reviewer doesn't mention that they came into the restaurant... More

Mike and Lynn Thrift are great people. Will help you with anything you need, The hotel is so cool and the top floor was perfect. Breakfast will keep you full, $6.50 well worth it. This is a relax and recharge type of hotel. If you don`t feel comfortable when you stay here, you should not have left home! I stayed... More

Weekend away was great thanks to this inn and walking distance to a great restaurant. We so enjoyed our stay. This is not a cookie cutter hotel(thank goodness) the wood work, the view, the owners... Awesome!

This property is best described as ramshackle. If the room had been clean, I wouldn't have minded and would have just said it had character. As it was, the floor was filthy (dog hair and dirt) and cob webs abounded. One of the beds made a crazy sound every time my husband moved. I would not stay here again. As... More

Our room could have used some updating, but it was comfortable enough to suit our needs. The owners are friendly, and there is a neat gift shop. For the location near other mountain attractions, this is more than suitable.

This property met my criteria. Clean, quiet and safe. The location is great just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and if you have a balcony room- the view is wonderful. You share it with everyone else whose room opens onto the balcony, but wonderful just the same. (didn't appear to be good viewing windows in any of the rooms) The... More

Traveled with a small group of sports car enthusiasts and stayed at Skyline at the end the first day of our weekend tour. Everything was at least "good" here but the best things abut this place are the ambiance, the views, and the gracious hospitality of the owners. All three are equally valuable in my book and all three made... More
