We stayed in the primitive tent area. These sites are nicely separated and glued to the side of a mountain in a picturesque manner. Just be prepared for an uphill hike to the super-clean bathhouse (smelled faintly of bleach rather than restroom). There's a playground, coin-op washer and dryer, and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere filled with birdsong.

My family camps a lot, this is the first time I have been to a campground with owners who were so nice and attentive to their guests. Everything was perfect, everything we needed was on site. We will be back.

Built in 1966, this campground is a rare gem! It features full hookup sites, cabins and tent sites. If you are looking for the run of the mill paved sites with wifi and cable... THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! If you want to enjoy the peace and quite of a well maintained natural campground where every site is different, then... More

This campground is a private campground conveniently located in Pisgah National Wilderness Area, close to Linville Falls. Do not confuse this campground with the national campground off the Blue Ridge Parkway. This campground has hot showers, sewer hookups, etc. And is more expensive at $35 a night. Clean and well kept..hosts are great. We will return.

13th year going here. Present owners, Dot & Jim are the greatest. 4 of us go every Aug for golf and relaxation. The facilities are always clean and service is 2nd to none. We love the weather, the surrounding communities, and all that the NC mountains have to offer. The campground is virtually minutes from many major attractions. I recommend... More

We called a week in advance and got three adjoining primitive campsites. When we arrived, we met the nicest, most laid-back camp hosts. Even though it rained the entire weekend, we had a really great time. The campsites are well-maintained with excellent drainage. The bathhouses are neat, clean and adequate. It is well-lit at night. It is a beautiful, secluded... More

GPS took us to the wrong location trying to get here and got us lost. We then found it by accident while looking for just any campground to stay at for the night. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner (I believe his name was Jim). He was super nice, very welcoming and gave great travel tips for the... More

I was a little hesitant upon arriving here. Although the owner is very nice, he has a lot of "hill billy charm" I don't mean that as an offense, he just seems like what I imagine hill folk to be. He was very soft spoken and easy to get along with, but was dressed in overalls. The campground: This campground... More
