If you want to be close the the Gorge but want a little more civilized experience (ie - you have family) this is a great choice. We tent camped. It's a small campground overall but most sites feel private. Bath house is clean. Fire pit and charcoal grill at each site and a playground area for the kids. We had... More

We returned home today after spending the weekend camping. This was the first time we have stayed here but it definitely won't be the last. What a nice place! Very nice sites and by far, the cleanest bathhouse we have ever been in. (Thumbs up to the granddaughter of the owners, keep up the good work.). The campground is small... More

We camped here in July 2014. It rained all day everyday for two weeks and the grounds were extremely muddy. The campground owners were very friendly. This is a small campground that is literally in the woods and that's what we loved so much about it. I didn't feel like I was at a concrete campground like you see so... More

My friends and I stayed in the camping section of the campground. The site had plenty of space nicely situated so you were not on top of anyone else. The bath house was a trek up the hill. But, this had the be the cleanest bath house /bathroom in any campground I have been in. Kudos to the owners. Any... More

We stayed in the primitive tent area. These sites are nicely separated and glued to the side of a mountain in a picturesque manner. Just be prepared for an uphill hike to the super-clean bathhouse (smelled faintly of bleach rather than restroom). There's a playground, coin-op washer and dryer, and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere filled with birdsong.

My family camps a lot, this is the first time I have been to a campground with owners who were so nice and attentive to their guests. Everything was perfect, everything we needed was on site. We will be back.

Built in 1966, this campground is a rare gem! It features full hookup sites, cabins and tent sites. If you are looking for the run of the mill paved sites with wifi and cable... THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! If you want to enjoy the peace and quite of a well maintained natural campground where every site is different, then... More

This campground is a private campground conveniently located in Pisgah National Wilderness Area, close to Linville Falls. Do not confuse this campground with the national campground off the Blue Ridge Parkway. This campground has hot showers, sewer hookups, etc. And is more expensive at $35 a night. Clean and well kept..hosts are great. We will return.

13th year going here. Present owners, Dot & Jim are the greatest. 4 of us go every Aug for golf and relaxation. The facilities are always clean and service is 2nd to none. We love the weather, the surrounding communities, and all that the NC mountains have to offer. The campground is virtually minutes from many major attractions. I recommend... More
