Recently I was in Linville on business and decided to make the trip more enjoyable by staying at a bed and breakfast inn. I was so glad that I did, as Gable Haus turned out to be a delightful respite -- almost like a vacation. My room was cozy and comfortable with a luxurious bed. Hosts Norma and Eric are... More

The bed in the "owner's room" is extremely comfy...a great night's sleep! However, I don't recommend choosing this room, as there is no place to hang any clothes, except knobs on the back of a door. Also, no drawers in the chests, which seemed to be full. We lived out of the suitcase the whole time we were there -... More

Spent last weekend in the Gable Haus to escape from a stressful summer and was well rewarded with a fabulous place to relax, incredible hospitality, and amazing breakfasts. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and provide a soothing respite from the hectic life. Eric and Norma are warm and interesting people, and made us feel welcome in their home. We immediately... My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at the lovely honeymoon suite at Gable Haus country Inn & Cottages. I have to say this was the best bed & breakfast experience I ever had! The whole property is carefully managed. It's beautiful, artistic, and yet feels like home. We had the best coffee and most delicious breakfast every morning. I... More

Even though I didn't think it was possible, my fourth visit to Gable Haus has been even more special than my other visits. Norma and Eric continue to add new improvements to their already lovely property. The newest cottage, Ruffin Retreat, is under construction and will be available by July 1. It will be a great addition to their other... More

We love our regular visits to the Gable Haus. On our most recent visit, we stayed in the honeymoon suite. We enjoyed the comfort provided here by the comfy, king sized bed and garden tub. The breakfasts were delicious (as they always are). Some of our favorites from this trip and others include Dutch Baby, Crepes a la Eric, and... More

When you first step into the Gable Haus you feel like you are home. The feel of the house puts you right at ease. A sleepy Erik stayed up till the last guests came into the Inn that Friday night. We were 2nd to last at 10:30 PM. When seeing the room for the 1st time, I was a little... More

The Gable Haus Inn is a true treat! As soon as you enter, you feel the warmth of the owners, Norma and Eric. They make you feel like you are their friends, not just a visiting guest! Their inn is decorated with care and charm. Norma took us to our cozy cottage where we found delicious apples and two pieces... More

This quaint bed and breakfast was such a welcomed change from the regular hotel accommodations one would typically choose during a trip. Eric and Norma prove to be both gracious hosts and Eric is a very talented chef. The beautiful gardens filled with flowering native plants add to the character of this charming bed and breakfast. I will gladly stay... More
