My daughter and I were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Rose had cookies waiting for us when we arrived, and coffee, tea and other beverages and snacks were available at all times. She recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner, and her breakfast was amazing! The rooms are quiet, spacious and comfortable, there is free in-room... More

The house, the bedroom and the hostess Rose all combined to make this a wonderful B&B experience. Rose covered everything, big and small. Breakfast was at time of our choosing and selected the night before from 4 choices. It was delicious. Rose had suggestions for dinner options in town and cookies on the counter. Robes were a nice touch and... More

1st, the house is completely amazing and immaculate. 2nd, the owner "Rose" is a complete doll. She is Canadian, however, she is the epitome of Southern Hospitality. Very friendly and makes you feel you are right at home. She is also a wonderful cook and the choices provided for breakfast made me want to just move in on a permanent... More

This B&B is fantastic. The owner, Rose, is awesome. Her breakfasts are beyond delicious and she goes out of her way to make her guests feel at home. She made adjustments for my gluten free diet and is always willing to go that extra mile!! Highly recommend-if you are in the area-don't miss this 'gem'! JandM (Durham NC)

This place is amazing! Rose is the perfect hostess. The Irish Rose is very warm and inviting. Rose greated me in the kitchen when I arrived with fresh baked cookies. She gave me the grand tour of the house and explained that I should enjoy the house as my own. The bedroom was very nice. It had cable and a... More

Rose is the quintessential southern hostesses (by way of Toronto!) We have often struggled to find accommodation when visiting family in Lenoir but it will be a struggle no longer! We arrived at the Irish Rose on a Thursday afternoon and walked into a house filled with the delightful smell of freshly baked cookies. Rose, the owner, offered us a... More

My husband and I have stayed in many B&Bs in the U.S. and in Europe over the years, but there's no better place than The Irish Rose in little Lenoir, NC. Proprietress Rose Noakes welcomes you like an old friend, and that's just the beginning. The accommodations are luxurious and spacious, as are the lovely living room, well-stocked library, and...
