My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a 2 night at the Greystone Inn. Our stay was supurb in every way! Tea on the porch was great dull because it was just the two of us and they were not set up or ready for anyone to come to the porch. The sunset cruise gave us a chance... More

Though I personally would NOT recommend staying here, if you do, do not stay in the cooper room. Seriously. The bed is the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, including my dorm bed from college. Both my boyfriend and I woke up every hour, sore and uncomfortable. Also our fireplace didn't work the first night despite Tennifer's best... More

We stayed at the Greystone Inn for two nights in the Reynolds Room, which I consider the best room in the lodge. It has a king bed and a private balcony overlooking the lake. The downside is that you must climb three flights of stairs to get to it. There is no elevator in the inn. Without a GPS, I... More

Spent our 50th wedding anniversary here. Beautiful setting, friendly staff, a bit pricey, The flowers and candy that were in our room upon arrival was a nice surprise gift from the staff. Only concern about the room, was there was no closet or place to hang clothes.

This property is very picturesque and has some lovely things going for it, and if it were a state park or advertised as less luxurious, I might give it a higher rating. Starting with the positives, the people were delightful – very friendly. The reservation process was easy and they were very thorough. The historic home has a lot of... More

Spent with weekend with my wife for our 15th wedding anniversary at the Greystone Inn. This is our second trip here. The first was in 1999. It was a privately owned inn then, but now a new company, Natural Retreats, who has several high end properties around the country has apparently taken over recently. Still an impressive stay and beautiful... More

My husband and I spent a lovely weekend at the a greystone Inn. This was our second visit, the first being about one year ago when we stayed at the main inn in the Heinish room. This time we stayed in the Hillmont building, a more recent structure overlooking the lake. The resort is beautiful and the inn itself quite... More

We arrived to a very warm welcome by the staff and taken to our suite to get settled in. We had scheduled to take the Miss Lucy Champagne cruise on Lake Toxaway that evening. It was wonderful - the captain offered up the history of the area, the lake and the inn. it set the stage to enjoy the three... More

Greystone Inn has always been one of my favorite place to stay in NC. This was probably my 8th stay at Greystone. I usually visit there with my husband but this time I took my niece with me. This was her first time there! She was impressed as much as I was the first time I stayed there! The only... More

My husband and I had been dying to get up to Lake Toxaway so on a whim we booked a weekend in August at the Greystone Inn. We stayed in the Lakeside Cottage mostly because it was all that was available. It was nice in that we had a great view of the marina and extra living space. We had... More
