With old-fashioned wood furniture and light fixtures, the room was beautiful. The restroom was lovely, and the shower had plenty of water pressure. We took part in the barbecue dinner buffet. the food was delicious and the service was wonderful.

We stayed at the Inn over the long July 4th weekend and had a wonderful time. Great location on a calm bay of Lake Lure and very close to Chimney Rock State Park. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was very good and the lobby and hallways are practically a museum full of old music machines and art.... More

The power went out one evening for 9hrs and there were no backup generators. Got muggy. No lights or wifi. No Verizon cell service too but that's normal for the valley. Certain front desk staff were very helpful. Others were less so. Hallways smelled and felt like a locker room by morning. Hotel staff did lay out glow sticks like... More

The Inn has such a great charm...inside and out. The rooms arent huge but comfortable enough for what they are for...sleeping! The pool area is great and has great views. The bartenders really enjoy their jobs and made a few hours in the cozy tavern fun! The Inn has buffets on holidays and Sundays and the food is wonderful. Great... More

We have been staying at the Lake Lure Inn and every spring and fall since 2006 and love the entire experience, from staying at the beautiful Inn to dining in the Veranda Restaurant or the Moose and Goose. The food is amazing and never disappoints. The staff are so warm and friendly and we have come to think of them... More

Place desperately needs upgrading and updating. Staff needs customer training. the entire draw is the setting. Rooms are too small. Bathrooms are hopelessly out of date. Furnishings are in need of upgrade (drawers stuck on dresser).

If you are looking for a fancy hotel room this is not the place for you. Rooms are basic but decorated tastefully to reflect the age of the hotel. Request a mountain view otherwise you might be looking at the parking lot. The pool feels like an English garden. Very relaxing! The beach is across the street and there are... More

Don't be fooled by the photos. This place had poor parking and although we ate dinner from their buffet, we could not get a drink served! Not even water! We were stuck in the motor lodge with the loudest ac I've ever seen in a tiny room. The lake has a fence in front of it across a busy street... More

Beautiful views all around. The Inn was very accommodating, we checked in early. Nice size beds. We ate at the restaurant inside the Inn...the early bird is from 4-6 pm. I had a ribeye, green beans, roasted potatoes, salad, rolls and a huge piece of delicious red velvet cake ...all for $18.00. I couldn't believe it! The steak was probably... More

We meet friends from Tennessee here every summer for a couple of days and always have a great time. Before we started that tradition I stopped by the hotel while on another trip and looked at some of the rooms in the hotel and found some to be small and rather dated. I also looked at the rooms in the... More
