I proposed last weekend to my fiancé in the Raven's Roost cabin. I loved the older cabin with its more modern kitchen etc. We absolutely loved our stay here and will be back multiple times. This is my kinda place (a little rustic but updated) The cabin is decorated with both a climbing and craft beer themes which I loved...and... More

We walked all over the quaint little town from our cabin. We went in April, had phenomenal weather, climbed Chimney Rock and spent a beautiful, quiet night sitting on the dock. Many thanks to the hosts as they promptly shipped my forgotten items to me! Pine Gables is a hidden gem in Lake Lure and worth the risk if it's... More

The perfect little getaway! We decided to take a little weekend getaway and can't wait to plan a spring trip next year maybe for a bit longer. We took a lake tour and climbed chimney rock! What a wonderful time! Pine Gables has a lot of history and is right in the middle of everywhere you may want to visit!... More

These are wonderful little cabins with everything you could need for a weekend away - screen porch with rocking chairs and a hot tub, TV, washer/dryer, full kitchen, and a great gas fireplace. And spotlessly clean! I would've assumed the cabin was brand new, and I was really surprised to find out it was a few years old. The reservations... More

My wife and I needed a getaway!! Stressed out from 60hr work weeks and ready for some outdoor time!!! We heard from some friends the Pine Gables was the place to stay in Lake Lure so we looked them up online! Reservation was a snap. All the cabins were nicely displayed online so picking was easy! The cabin were clean... More

The cabins seem almost new. They have a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and hot tub. The screened in porch has rocking chairs and a great view. The area is beautiful with access to the river. It's a short drive to both Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. It's about 40 minutes to Asheville. It gets a bit warm in the bedroom. There... More

The bull frogs croaked so loudly at night that we had to wear ear plugs to sleep in the Duck Pond Cabin. During the day it was very peaceful and quiet. We never saw any neighbors except for the one who brought his dogs to do their business on the grass around the pond every day (didn't clean it up)... More

We do have bull frogs in our ponds that croak at night, most guests love their night songs. Our ponds are for all our guests to enjoy for fishing or just relaxing. If anyone ever leaves trash, or animal waste anywhere on the property, please let us know and we will take care of it immediately. We ensure that the... More

Just got back yesterday from a long weekend at the duck pond cabin. Loved the privacy and the view and the cabin was perfect and very clean. Got in the hot tub every night and listened to the bullfrogs sing ( should have named it bullfrog cabin lol). Cabin has everything you could ever need for cooking even a dishwasher... More

My wife and I spent 4 days here in Tootsies Cabin a few weeks ago. We enjoyed everything about it. The cabin itself is old, yes, but it was clean, and the charm is adorable, My wife so looked forward to her morning coffee sitting on the dock, which was just a matter of feet away from the front door.... We loved our short 4 day stay at this beautiful cabin. The peace and quite, except for the occasional entertaining bull frog singing, are unsurpassed. My wife and I travel a lot, and this is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Ever! The hosts are the ultimate hospitality professionals. Nothing has been overlooked. The families 200+ years...
