Yes...a little off the beaten path but that is part of the charm. Very rustic but up -to-date on furnishings and very clean. The restuarant is FANTASTIC......everything is fresh, delicious and made to order. The personnel are very welcoming....especially Chelsea. Each room is different and special, relaxing and charming. We felt very lucky finding this place on Tripadvisor. I didn't... More

My husband and I had the joy of staying at The Lodge in July and found it utterly amazing. Hidden on the back side of Lake Lure, it was a place of exquisite refinement combined with rustic charm! And the serenity of this off-the-beaten-path was truly refreshing and renewing.

Nice inn overlooking a beautiful lake. Stayed in the African Queen suite. Very large room with huge deck overlooking the lake. Staff was professional. Owners were not on site so no true feel of a b&b. Breakfast was very good. Not a lot of restaurants near by so I would recommend taking advantage of the on site restaurant when it... More

Really off the beaten path, I don't see how they are ranked number one. Weird hours and an overpriced menu.. The food was great but the service wasn't. It is not a very welcoming place. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, but the free glass of wine to write this review was worth the rant.

It was our first time to the area. The lodge is very nice and the rooms were well appointed. Breakfast was excellent and so, too, was the wine reception. The staff was friendly and helpful in advising options for dining. I would recommend this place for both families (our kids really liked the lake access) and couples (we had a... More

The Lodge on Lake Lure has beautiful grounds and scenery. The lodge feels intimate and serene, and makes a perfect get-away accommodation for long or short stays. We especially enjoyed the large deck overlooking the lake for breakfast and complimentary wine and appetizers.

Perfect place to stay. Took my wife there for her birthday. Stayed in a beautiful room, Roman Holiday, overlooking the lake. Private balcony and a bathtub surrounded by windows overlooking lake that was the high point for my wife. They have a meet-and-greet at 5 with wine and hors d'orves. Met great other guests. One can swime from Lodge's pier.... More

There are only about 20 rooms which made it more intimate than a hotel but much bigger than a B & B. We stayed in the Chocolate Paws room which was on the lower price end and was good. We had a view of the parking lot but the foliage that separated us compensated. Breakfast overlooking the lake was good... More

Very relaxing place to stay with great views and wonderful food.. Used the complimentary canoes to tour up and down the lake. The breakfasts were outstanding and changed daily. The only issue we had which was minor, was the ability to hear conversations in the neighboring rooms. We just learned to speak softly as did the other neighbors. .

We stayed here for about 4 days last August. I had high expectations based on the reviews on tripadvisor, from the photos I saw on the inn's website, and of course, the fairly expensive room rate. I left feeling that my husband and I were the only people who did not find the experience worth the price. It is mainly... More
