Large grassy area with shade trees, but you'd have to carry your equipment from the parking lot. Other nice shaded areas closer to parking. Big downside is the two peacocks in a cage--squawking all day until night. They start squawking at 5 am! At least a rooster chicken would crow quieter.

Campgrounds are usually one of two things: someone's field that they may or may not have added any other amenities, or they are a gorgeous national park type setting plus or minus the amenities. This campground falls into the field variety- and it's a perfectly fine one at that. Grills and picnic tables are plentiful, and (maybe it wasn't as... More

Review is based on tent camping experience. (Not Hostel) Pros: Very friendly staff. Suitable bathrooms. Hot showers. Moderately. Plenty of picnic tables and grills. Cons: Very small grounds. Extremely close to other tents and campers, even if the area is not filled up all the way. Other campers can be heard throughout the night, even talking at a normal level.... More

We booked one hostel night, so I'm not reviewing the campground. Arriving at the campground everything looked pretty old and there were some weird people walking around.. The woman that helped us said she didn't have our booking. Great... Another women offered us another room with a bed bunk. It didn't mind us so we took it. The room was... More

I read all the negative reviews and was surprised that when I stayed here that it was the exact opposite. The place is very nice( it is a camp ground that's 31$ a night, not a 5 star hotel). They have picnic tables and grills and showers. Though showers aren't much ( fit only two at a time) but ur... More

My family of four and a friend stayed two nights in a hostel room for sixty like bucks a night. Considering the expense of every other option for travelers on the OBX, I didn't expect much. I was blown away with the comfort of the hostel. Our room had four bunks, A/C, a small fridge, and a microwave. There was... More

We camped at this campground. Basically, you pay over $30 to put your tent up on someone's lawn. There are no separate sites. Just picnic tables and some grills strewn about on an open grassy yard. There is space for a few tents under some trees, which would have been nice if not for being right next to two caged... More

Came down for Fourth of July weekend and planned to stay at oregon Inlet campground. I had to change plans because of the hurricane so we stayed here. It cost $20 more a night than Oregon inlet to throw a tent up(just anywhere on the grass) instead of receiving your own private plot to set up. For this much more... More

The rate was changed when I got there for my last night. I asked for a private room/bathroom and was assured, no problem. However, you do share a bathroom with others. . . I personally didn't want to share a bathroom with men I didn't know. The floors and table were dirty. Lastly, there were roaches. Just not worth it.

I stayed at this Hostel inn before running in the OBX 1/2 Marathon. For $45 plus tax I got a room with shared kitchen, bath and living room. The suites are set up so that 2 rooms share. The family that was on the other room was also racing, so they were quiet. There are 2 sets of bunk beds... More
