The hotel is older and could use some updating. But overall great value. My room was clean. Staff was friendly. Basic free breakfast nothing fancy but overall good. Location was great. Minutes from downtown. Grocery store in walking distance along with Kings Restaurant an iconic staple of Kinston which are both located across the street from the hotel.

If you need a room for one night and are only planning on sleeping this is an okay place to stay. I had business in nearby La Grange and chose this hotel for it's reasonable price. The motif was outdated and carpet could use a good cleaning but the bed sheets were fresh and clean. Next time, I'll probably pay... More

This hotel is a great location right on Hwy 70 with several local restaurants very close. Has a nice view of the river just behind the location. The staff is always very kind and friendly. My kids always love the complimentary breakfast.

Not too bad for $55. The room was neat and clean. No hand towels, 2 wash cloths, and 3 body towels, would've been nice to have more. It sounded like someone was constantly turning the faucet on and letting the water run, but it was just the noise from the toilet, all night. I would stay again but would definitely... More

I have not even been at the hotel for 5 minutes....take that back, I waited 10 minutes to get service at the front desk. Ok, I have not been in my room for 5 minutes and I already want to leave. They charged us what the Internet said and then when we got to the room called and said she... More

God bless the owners of this motel, they were kind and accommodating, but that's all this old property had going for it. Literally, the worst motel room I've stayed in because the carpet was nasty, the shower water fluctuated from hot to cold, the bathroom linoleum was old and permanently dirty, there weren't blankets on the beds (just a sheet... My husband and I got a room here 6/22/13. Everything was going good until we got into the room and started looking around. I pull the sheets down, clean, but stained (the trick hotel). Then we noticed that the door had been kicked in. It was fixed, but not secure enough to stop someone from kicking it in again without... More

I go to kinston twice a year and for 20 years i have stayed at the same hotel. This year my hotel went out of business and i had to find a new place to stay. I went on line and found the Country Hearth in Kinston, N.C. Rates seemed good and the pictures on line seemed okay. I booked... More

I visit kinston very frequently because of my conn ruins in the city. And there is this place I always stay at because of the good service and timely response. The location is also great. You will find subway, waffle house on the other side of the road. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

The rooms are very neat and clean. The location is not too bad either its right of the highway. Plenty of restaurants are there nearby. The front staff is very supporting. I am from roanoke, Virginia came to visit my friends near by.
