Me, my husband, his mom and sister rented 2 rooms the week of November 11 to attend a wedding at Nags Head. The rooms were average looking. What made it terrible was: 1) BOTH rooms we rented never got cleaned even though we removed our "Do Not Disturb" signs. 2) BOTH rooms had dirty washcloths, and towels 3) the other... more

The best thing this hotel has going for it is it's ocean views, so if you book, make sure you request a room on an upper floor so that you don't get tucked behind the dune. From our room, we watched dolphins swim by while enjoying in-room coffee on the balcony. There's also a great deck on the back of... more

My wife and I and our 2 Dalmatians went down there for the first time in late September when we heard our babies could experience the beach more freely and also enjoy the sites. Our room was on the third floor, ocean view and everything was exactly as we'd asked for. Motel and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room... more

My wife and I found several blood stains on our bed sheets the morning we checked out, and noticed several small brown bugs smooshed on the covers. Gross!!! Later, both of us broke out in hives -- not exactly the best memory we had from our romantic autumn weekend at the beach. Avoid this hotel at any cost. more

To start with, AAA gave a better discount than the Military or Govt rates. That in it self should send a clear message to our service members especially. I would not rate this hotel OK, I would rate it as bad in some areas with more than a few problems, but the category isn't there. My room was dirty to... more

Wanted an inexpensive 4 day beach vacation on Outer Banks with friends in late sept. The hotel has a great central location on the beach and be sure to get the beach-side rooms with balconies. Overall was clean but did show signs of wear and tear. The rooms were good with air conditioners and dehumidifiers and had extra pillows and... more

First off, there are not many decent Outer Banks hotels to begin with. My husband's family had a beach house there for years and recently sold it so we had to get a hotel for the long weekend. For all the hotels in the area there was only 3 we'd consider: Ramada, Hilton Garden Inn (too far north) and Clarion... more

Needed a mini vacation with the spouse, that allowed pets. The room was average, the service was average. Everything was average. more

We were down to the wire of getting a hotel room for one night on the weekend in this area so we felt somewhat fortunate that the Ramada had one room left. It was pretty clean although the carpet felt dirty when walking across it. The bottom line with a lot of beach hotels is you are paying for the... more

We really did not want to stay in this area because the hotels are generally overpriced and, because of the proximity to the ocean, usually not all that clean. We chose the Ramada because it is part of a well known (although aging and diminishing in quality) chain. The room was large and cleaner than we expected. The only thing... more
