Let's just say it was adventure..my teenage daughter had to sleep with headphones cause the room next door was getting busy. Breakfast was good. But very run down. There are better places to stay. I would never stay here again. I never seen any bugs though, I will give the that.

The room was admittedly in better shape the the supremely run down facility, but was not by any means worth the $295/night rate (including taxes). No bathroom in the lobby when waiting for check in (they sent me to the restaurant across the street!), only one luggage cart in the entire hotel and I was told at check in "It... More

Best place we have found for a quick trip with our dog along with us. Beachfront is especially nice and the fact that there is a place to rinse the sand off our pup before heading back to the room is very convenient.

My family stayed in three rooms in July for nearly a week and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The beach was so close and never crowded and the pool was great! The balcony was so relaxing and the beds were very comfortable. Our room was very clean and the hallway was quiet, especially for Mid-July. The staff took care... More

Clean was the first thing I noticed walking into the room. sheets /towels nice and white and not worn. Had the side view(parking lot)but that was priced accordingly. Wasnt too hard to walk a few more feet to the most fantastic stretch of beach. Loved "ghost crabbing" at night was lots of fun chatting with people up and down the... More

Hubby and I had just left a nasty little hotel down the street and we're lucky enough to find a room available at John Yancey same day. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable about the area. The room was definitely dated but clean and comfy. Great place for the price. Had a clean pool, picnic tables and grills, a... More

The room was EXTREMELY outdated and needed some serious work . It was most definitely not worth the price . The rooms had a door almost like a bedroom door , very light and you could here literally everything from the hallway . Thank god we only had to stay for one night .

We stayed at the John Yancey for a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday). We were in the penthouse suite in the four seasons building as this was last minute and it was all that was available. It could not have suited our needs any better. From the minute I called to inquire about availability I was met with nothing but exceptional customer... More

If you want to stay in a hotel that accuses you of doing things that you didn't do this is the place to stay. I got charged $100.00 for supposedly spilling wine on the carpet, My husband and I do not drink wine, he drinks an occasional vodka and ginger ale and I am a beer drinker. When I finally... More
