This is an old time motel right in Hot Springs, the bed and cleanliness were so so but it was perfect for the night as I was joining a group the next day to hike for a few days, inexpensive and delightfully homey.

We were planning to hike part of the App Trail and enjoy the Hot Springs and our 1st choices to stay were booked. Lucky for us, because the Alpine Court was clean, comfortable, roomy, and convenient! We had a great stay and would highly recommend Alpine Court.

My friends and I stayed here after hiking on the Appalachian Trial, because we felt the Iron Horse Hotel would be too noisy being next to the railroad. They take no credit cards and the rooms are one star at best. I would not advise a woman to stay here alone as the entry doors have the cheap "twist" lock... More

This place was really run down. The swimming pool was not usable, but still filled with water that had green stuff floating on top, The pool looked as if it had been unusable for years and the fence around it was in need of repair, so it appeared that a young child could get in there and fall in. Nothing... More

It was actually in summer 2009 my family did not have a place to stay on a Sunday evening quite late We were in an emergency situation after coming off a rafting trip several hours later than expected. We were too tired to drive all the way back to Johnston County, 4 1/2 hours away. The owner, and I'm ashamed... More

I have stayed at the Alpine Court on several different occasions when the urge to hike the AT strikes me (the motel is right on the trail, which runs through the town). There are no complicated reservation systems and no expensive website...whoever answers the phone will take your name and date of arrival and that's it, you just show up.... More

Say what you want about the Alpine Court, but my wife and I enjoyed our stay there. Granted it's not a 5 star, but it reminded me of the late 50's or early 60's when I was a kid. It took me back to a much slower time and more enjoyable part of my childhood. Quiet, peaceful, worry free, no... More

This place is straight out of the 1950's....and much of the furniture including the linens and towels are from that era. Leaky plumbing, thin walls, thin towels, noisy neighbors, intermittent hot water. Good location in the center of town right on Apalachian Trail. Good for hikers with muddy boots, the extra dirt left behind will simply add to the fifty... More
