My wife and I took a quick 2-night getaway to Hot Springs, stayed at the Iron Horse and had a fantastic time. Hot Springs is a beautiful small town in the middle of the mountains with an awesome mix of unique people - some t-shirts there describe the town as "Where Mayberry Meets the Twilight Zone" and it's accurate. The... More

Had dinner with great friends and family. The atmosphere was really nice. Live music was a nice add. Ordered ribeye, twice baked potato, and side salad. Perfectly cooked and tender. Cass was a great waitress. Sweet tea was awesome. Scenic views of the Appalachian mountains were great! Hot springs a neat town.

Our trip was a girl's weekend get-a-way (well Sunday-Tuesday) and our first glimpse of Hot Springs left us thinking one thing....charming! If you're looking for bells and whistles (other than the train) and city night life then this is not the area for you! We, on the other hand were looking exactly for this type of spot, quiet, majestic scenery,... More

Hotel desk agents were very nice! We got to our room to find it very clean! This is a great place for a short stay. However there were 2 things we did not like. 1- the bed is ridiculously noisy with every move! 2-the shower head was so corroded there is not a lot of water pressure. Only needs to... More

Where to start??? It is a throwback in time. The furnishings, the layout, everything - a perfect place to stay. First - it is located above the Iron Horse Restaurant. Even with this - the room is quiet (except for the 3:00 am train). The restaurant is first-rate. The room - spectacular!!! Nice - wooden floors, claw-foot tub, comfortable chairs,... More

We discovered Hot Springs a few years ago and have been coming back ever since. This was our second time staying at the Iron Horse but we always eat at the Restaurant. Hotel and restaurant are very quaint and historic and very clean. There is no TV or Phone in the room but is one in the community areas which... More

Great small town located on French Broad River and Appalachian Trail. The Inn is very nice and has a rustic feel. Free Wifi in rooms. No TVs which was nice. Restaurant is amazing. You can then go right down the street to the hot springs for a soak.

Stayed the weekend with other couples and really enjoyed this place. The room were nice (we had standard room) with bed, chair and bathroom. Just enough room to spread out. They have a community area over the restaurant with a big screen TV, free coffee and sitting area. Great location to hang out. Parking was convenient, but it was wintertime,... More

We stayed in a Pullman room which was well decorated and very clean. The bed on a scale of 1 to 5 was a 3, but the pillows were good and the water in shower plentiful and hot. You should be aware that the walls are pretty thin and we could hear almost everything that went on in the room... More

The rooms which are decorated like pullman train cars are located above the tavern/restaurant and are very comfortable and accommodating. I have stayed here before, once in the deluxe whirlpool room and once in a standard pullman. While this is not a 5 star hotel, the charm and comfort makes it a great place for a 1 or 2 night...
