The lodging was great (clean, comfortable and priced very fairly). The food was excellent and priced very reasonably. The soak at the rental was a wonderful experience. All in all I could not say enough nice things about the Iron Horse lodge. I enjoyed work on my computer overlooking the fall foliage. I would highly recommend this as a weekend... More

Thin walls (bring ear plugs) , rude employees and sour towels (couldn't even use for the shower they smelled so terrible) If you have plans to go to Hot Springs NC make sure you get a room someplace else.

Stopped in for lunch with friends...excellent service and really great food! We had hamburgers and chicken panini; both were excellent. Service was very prompt and atmosphere is very nice...definitely the best lunch-dinner spot in Hot Springs!

Many have told us to visit Hot Springs, NC so we took a trip there. The area is just wonderful if you love the outdoors. Actually planned to head over to eat in either Asheville or Cherokee. But by chance we stopped in at the Iron Horse Station and were treated to a great meal. We will be back soon... More

Highly recommend this restaurant. The interior is very warm with the brick walls and wooden floors. Nice bar at which to enjoy a beer from their great local selection. The food is awesome and the wait staff very friendly. The passing train outside just adds to the ambiance. A little more expensive than the tavern across the steet, but not... More

We stayed one night at the Iron Horse. The rooms were clean, and I felt the prices were satisfactory. However, the night we stayed, the electricity went out all over town and the adjoining communities while we were at dinner. I know this was not the fault of the Iron Horse Station. I was looking forward to using the Jacuzzi... More

Stayed here with a package deal...fun, fun, and more fun. Lodging, lunch and dinner at their restaurant, plus white water rafting, hiking, and spa use at hot springs included. We stayed busy getting a real feel of activities in this delightful mountain town. The inn is historic, clean, and quaint with comfortable bed and baths. Ray, the manager, was around... More

I stayed here one night in July with my 11 year old daughter. Hotel says they are not kid friendly but other kids were staying too and I think they just can't handle the needs of smaller children. We chose the Pullman Room (205) for the double bunk beds. The room is exactly how small it looks in the online... More

There were some really good things about Iron Horse Station as a place to spend the evening. Check in was a breeze and the woman at the desk was very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The exterior was nice and funky. Hot Springs itself was a perfectly nice place and I really enjoyed walking around and seeing the town,... More

Thank you for bringing some things to my attention and I do apologize for not meeting your expectations. The Inn was built back in the late 1890's and we do appreciate when our customers take the time to let us know when something needs attention. I just personally replaced the toilet seat and you are correct that there are 4... More

Unfortunately I had a bad ankle at the time of our stay so it was painful to go up and down the stairs(no elevator). Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Trains going thru town right below our window added ambience to our stay esp @ 3 am. Did not miss not having a TV. Room was small. Staff was super... More
